“This is a class "A" country eatery generally known a the General Store. Friendly, country service and never heard anything but good about the quality foods served here. After several stops I have upgraded service to 5 stars as this is just a "country diner" and not a fast food delivery. Don't stop here with no time to chat.Consistent quality !”

“Melba Mae's, Melba Mae's , you've changed my life in crazy ways. Ok maybe I wouldn't go that far...BUT while camping for a couple of nights in upstate New York, a friend who was with us and originally from the area said that we had to check out this joint. Basically the only bar in town, Melba's attracts all the locals, making it an amazing location for people watching. Walking in the first two things that I noticed were 1) I I was perfectly dressed in my jean shorts and UMass sweatshirt, falling somewhere in the middle of the sprectrum, between men in t-shirts with no sleeves and 50-70 year old women in beedazled tanks 2) loud and awesome country music was pouring out from the back of the bar. Plopping ourselves down on high top chairs in front of the stage, we sat and watched as a massive man (we're talking Paul Bunnion) in full country gear belted out request after request. On the dance floor we got to see line dancing, slow dancing, and older people dancing inappropriately to slow songs.....it was quite the experience. The only reason Melba's loses a star is because of the women's bath room: 2 toilets, no stalls, no lock. But, drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is unique, so if you have a good girl friend to stand outside the restroom door, arms crossed, body guard style, definitely head up to Melba Mae's.”

“Came in on a Thursday and it was a little loud but everyone was friendly so it felt like a party. Pizza and wings were solid and very reasonably priced. Staff was really busy but were on their game making sure everyone was looked after. I've been before and I'll be back. Great spot for a bite and beer.”

“We ate here twice in just a few days vacation at the end of summer. The falafel is amazing, as is the chicken and lamb. The yogurt sauce is the best we've ever had. My young son loved it so much, he now thinks every white condiment is it, but sadly is disappointed with typical tzatziki or sald dressing. The whole family is craving their food! Haha! Thank you! “Went her dec 31 for our anniversary. SO good for the first time I had lobster that could melt in my mouth. The food is done so well. The service was excellent. Everything kept full. Dressings are all made in-house. Filet and prime rib cuts, you barely had to chew and was so flavorful. Definitely our new anniversary place.”

“We had an enjoyable experience here. It was our first time in Lake George and it was a short walk from our hotel. We got the Lamb and Chicken Kebab plates that were more than most could eat for only $12. The gentleman who took our order was pleasant and the food was delivered quickly. The outdoor seating was great for the perfect weather we experienced. I highly recommend, but be aware the kebab is a bit spicy. We'll definitely return.”

“My partner and I went in for lunch and it was SO YUMMY. We ordered the chicken BLT, mozzarella sticks, and jalapeño burger. Angie was our server and was incredibly friendly and made us feel super comfortable. The food AND service was so good we went back the very next day! We were overjoyed when we discovered Angie would be our server again! She impressively remembered everything from the day before as well to add to the great time.
