Nick Charlaps Ice Cream, Inc/Sweets on the Hill offers consistently delicious ice cream and stellar customer service. A caller needing Valentine's chocolate and a card received help over the phone, with the order arranged for a neighbor to pick up. The ice cream is homemade, with portions that are seriously outrageous and good value. A plant-based blueberry shortcake or cheesecake is delicious and doesn't taste like anything but regular ice cream, but it is vegan. The caramel cashew crunch is absolutely delicious. A customer had mint chip in a waffle bowl, calling it the best mint chip ice cream. The store is clean, with outdoor seating along with plenty of seating inside with the a/c or warmth in the winter. Workers are very nice; Laura was wonderfully patient with a customer exploring the store. A local transplant appreciated that the place makes its own ice cream. One downside is that they do not accept Apple Pay or Google Pay. Still, it remains one of the favorite ice cream spots in WNY, with a customer planning to return again.
