The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that there was that raw , real, Jamaican vibe. Most importantly, Chef Chris and the kitchen staff killed the Lamb Shank entree. 100% worth it!“
“I had to run an errand in Buffalo NY and stopped at a local mom and pop sandwich place that someone local had recommended. Oh.My. Goodness this place is great! I could rave about it for an hour. Everything was fresh and local and freaking delicious! Nothing was an afterthought - the bread that came with the soup was as good as my grandma’s dinner rolls ❤️ Even the lettuce on the burger was big, crisp and fresh. The tomato seemed like it had just been picked this morning. The coffee was delicious and fresh, made to order. Very generous portions, fat crispy bacon, ah! If you’ve never eaten a meal so delicious it brought tears to your eyes, you should come here. I would drive 400 miles again just to eat lunch here. The owners were super nice people!“

“We traveled from Maryland to East Aurora to pick up a snowmobile. We arrived early so we found The Poked Yolk. We waited in the parking lot because of traveling arriving before they opened. “My husband and I have tried just about every meal prep place in Buffalo.... each doing something decent but never providing for an exciting week of eating. Usually it's the same menu week after week, overcooked meat, frozen under cooked vegetables, small portions that leave you wanting to eat another meal after the meal you just ate, or just nothing exciting to write home about.....And then we found Jess!!Her menu changes weekly, with a few weekly staples that don't change, her meat is fully cooked but not well done so that when you hear it up, it's just right! Her meal options are home cooked and creative, and the large portions are enough to leaving you feeling like you at a home cooked meal, and don't need another meal - maybe dessert, but not extra food!Her meals are very consistent, everything we have tried has been delicious, and we are foodies! So that's saying a lot!!We have been ordering from her for maybe 5 weeks now and had one week where she missed one meal, but she quickly reimbursed us and rectified the situation, and another week where her delivery driver had a flat, but she notified us right away and food drop off was only delayed by 30 minutes.Excellent meals and excellent customer service - give her a try ... you won't be disappointed!! I like the fact that they have added some things they didn't have before, especially those baked goods! Today's choice, "The Vegan," was delicious. “Great tasting smoked meats. This guy is for real. I had the pulled pork combo with baked beans and coleslaw, and it was incredible. The pulled pork was superb, and the baked beans had 3 different kinds of beans in it. Best I ever had. If I had 1 downside, it would be the bbq sauce. They use sweet baby ray's which is still good but I bet this guy could make his own sauce and it would be better to be honest I could have eaten it without sauce. The owners were very friendly and upbeat, and did I mention they gave me samples of the pulled pork and ribs to try, and had he not been sold out of brisket that would have been sampled also. This is now my go to spot for smoked bbq!!!!“

I ordered the dinner and had enough for 2 dinners! The $8 per meal price tag was worth it considering you can't even get a full "clown" dinner that cheap anymore. The dill sauce is a little thicker than I like it but I just added some milk and it was perfect. The meat was super tender and delicious and all the salad ingredients were fresh and delish. Customer service was outstanding and they helped me through my first time like pros. If you have never been to a Pita think Rachels or Chipotle. Same concept order at one end of the walk up- food at the other end. The guy before me ordered a buffalo sauce that I did not see on the menu. I will for sure get that next time along with the garlic fries.“

Sides are really tasty too, though fries and rings can use salt.Interesting thing I've found is the parking lots at the handful of Ted's we've visited have always been very big, easily accessible and nicely paved. “5 of us had dinner Friday night. To start, our server was spectacular. I told her my son and I drink a ton of water, she was slammed busy, and we never had an empty glass. “We've just started ordering from here and so far all their food is absolutely delicious!! Tried the pizza and wings they were great! The pizza had a good amount of toppings and cheese and a nice crispy crust. The wings were awesome as well BIG and plump with a perfect amount of sauce and their blue cheese is to die for, must be homemade. Then a week later we ordered the chicken finger sub, ham sub and fries. The subs were HUGE and delicious, my husband couldn't stop taking about the chicken finger sub, needless to say he loved it, my ham sub was just as good. All fresh toppings and tons of meat on both. They were both so heavy, lol. The fries were really good too. Nice and hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Prices are outstanding for what you get! We will definitely be back! “We have been here 3 times so far. I wish they were more consistent with having their own beers, because Matt makes incredible beer. He is a huge asset to the WNY craft beer community. Food has always been good, our most recent visit was the first time we sat on the restuarant side, because we didn't have a choice since the brewery side was closed for a private event. Definitely prefer the brewery side, it felt like an inconvenience having to ask the server to get us samples or beers from the pour wall on the other side. Will definitely be back, but will have to remember to check social media pages to see if half the place is closed for a private event before going, it would definitely deter me from visiting if that were the case.“
