This was my first soul food experience, and I wouldn’t want it ANY other way! Crystal and her sons were lovely!! Spoke to us a while as we waited for our meal. Packed our dishes up high! Fish and meat were extremely tender and well seasoned, sides were all excellent (we got to try a little bit of everything) and the banana pudding had me looking at apartments in their area. Literally plotting for the next time we can get out to Westbury to have this food.
This place is like you're waiting in line at a family reunion food line. The workers are the owners. Mother and sons. Great service. Very clean and sanitary and they are very attentive. The food is delicious and made to order. So expect to wait a little bit. You can taste the love in the food. Made deliciously. Finally tried this place. As soon as I walked into the mall (by where the trapeze artists were), I smelled something really good. I followed the aroma and found the restaurant. I had the beef ribs, baked mac and cheese, rasta pasta, and yams. Everything was perfect. The beef was tender and fell off the bone. I wanted to throw my glasses like that Instagram guy. I’m definitely going back again next week.
