Ok, I know I should be leary of salad bars right now with all of the coronavirus fright going on but I can't resist the salad bar at La Provence in the White Plains Bloomingdales store! Usually I will get a lunch entree off of the menu which automatically comes with a small plate for the salad bar. Several years back, we first visited this place in Bloomingdale’s and were not impressed. Recently on the advice of a friend, we tried again and have been back countless times. They upped the ante in their salad bar and the offerings are varied and the breads including the freshly made popovers are great. There is always a chicken and rice as the warm option. I have eaten at La Provence many times and always have a good experience. The food is very good, especially their signature frozen yogurt. The ambiance is lovely and comfortable, and they never rush you out, so it's conducive to schmoozing and catching up with friends.
