We never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed dining there. That means so much. The Thanksgiving menu had many delicious choices and the portions were perfect. We will return when in the area.“

“Thai Den has become our go-to Friday night take-out spot! The food is always hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Highlights are the dumplings (all of them!), pad see ew, massaman curry, thai roti, and thai basil. On top of the amazing food, the owner is always so warm and welcoming and knows us by name, and the reward points are generous and almost always ensure one of our entrees is comped in our next order. “Several years back, we first visited this place in Bloomingdale’s and were not impressed. Recently on the advice of a friend, we tried again and have been back countless times. They upped the ante in their salad bar and the offerings are varied and the breads including the freshly made popovers are great. There is always a chicken and rice as the warm option. But the best value is to order an entree which comes with the salad bar. Then, we fill up on the salad bar and bring the entree home. The sole, the omelets — they’re all good. Salads, too, but you don’t get the salad bar with a salad. The servers are great, too.“

“I was so happy to see that Fair Deal Cafe on Mamaroneck Avenue reopened. I was so upset when they closed. I drove by last week and saw the lights on. “Sam's is consistantly terrific! My guests and I are no longer young, and we were offered 2 tables, 1 in the private area near the host and 1 in the larger restaurant area. It was done so graciously; we chose the quieter room so we could hear one another! The food was terrific, as always and the wait staff, knowlegable and accommodative. “This is a well-organized self-service ice cream shop. First, you go to a small station where you choose the size of your ice cream cup. Then you go to the second station to choose the flavor of ice cream you would like. The last station is the table full of diverse toppings you can add to your ice cream. How much your ice cream costs depends on how much your ice cream weighs. The establishment offers drinks and desserts as well as a comfortable seating space. Also offers delivery. “Where do I start...if I could give this place 10 stars I would. From expectations being surpassed to new and reinvigorated ambiance to great service from Camila. I enjoyed my time here and recommend it to anyone as a Mexican national that enjoys true Mexican dishes over the common fare that you find at a regular Mexican restaurant. They still carry all the usual suspects (burritos, quesadillas, tacos) but they also cater to those individuals that want a more decent entree (mole poblano, tampiqueña, huaraches, mariscos, etc).

We almost didn't come here cause of some low star reviews that I would not take seriously AT ALL. The food is flavorful, delicious and worth the price. Sure prices are going up...everywhere...but from what I could tell they are putting that money to good use and serving a large dish with sazon and and quality meat.

We went for Mexican Independence Day. There were a handful of busy tables. Their drinks were fantastic! We got a frozen mango margarita, a frozen coconut margarita and an Ay Mezcalita. The frozen drinks come in a very large margarita glass. Highly recommend it if you want a decent size drink. I had a Taco Placero de Chile Relleno que está de morirse. La verdad si cuesta un poquito más que un taco normal pero vale la pena y se puede compartir como aperitivo para dos o uno para una cena simple y llenadora.

From there my wife got a skirt steak entree option and this is the best skirt steak I have ever gotten at any restaurant, whether it be Mexican or American fare. The skirt steak is thick and large, and it had amazing flavor like everything else. They have about 4-6 skirt steak entree variations, and if they use the same quality meat for all those varietions then you will not be disappointed. I can only imagine how good the ribeye is.

I got a few Independencia dinner specials. The Chile en Nogada was amazing! A traditional Mexican dish in late August and September that brings out Mexican tradition. I called a handful of upscale Mexican restaurants near the White Plains area and no one was serving or knew what this dish was. The fact that Mariachi Loco was serving it for this festive holiday shows that they care about tradition and want to serve cultural dishes to their clients. We also ordered Pambazos and they were superb. I also recommend checking their Instagram for special events and weekly specials.

FYI they are going to be celebrating their 1 year anniversary in Nov since reopening after the pandemic. They closed for a few years to remodel and the renovations are amazing. This place is a gem. A little hidden but trust me...THIS PLACE IS AMAZING AND WORTH YOUR TIME.

“Just ate lunch at Noodles Plus and it was a delight! The lunch specials come with a choice of spring roll, chive dumpling, or pork pot sticker. I tried the chive dumpling, which was wonderfully springy and paired perfectly with a tasty dipping sauce, along with a light lettuce salad on the side.

The lunch menu features classic Thai dishes like Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai, though I noticed there’s no Pad See Ew. You can add chicken, tofu, beef, or shrimp to your dishes; we both opted for beef in our noodles—Pad Thai for me and Drunken Noodles for her. The portions were generous and absolutely delicious!

The restaurant is cozy and quite popular during lunch hours, especially with the nearby office crowd in downtown White Plains. Don’t expect a leisurely lunch, as there are only about 8 tables inside, plus a few outside. We loved our meals and can’t wait to return for both lunch and dinner when we have more time to unwind!“
