“I ended up at Rustic Root twice this weekend. Once for lunch with my hubby. Great Caesar (we shared), followed up with delicious burgers and fries…best buns ever! I liked the vibe so much that when a friend wanted to meet up for a nice glass of wine, that became our destination. Super friendly bartender Hailey, pointed us to the perfect glass tonight. We paired it with a yummy flatbread to share. Great vibe, great food, great service!“

“Exceptional choice for lunch today! Every expectation of a great meal and another choice for fine dining in the area has been met!! First - A shout out to Luis, our server, for the wonderful service! Now to the food, Our Sage House salad was delicious - all fresh and tasty ingredients! For entrees, I thoroughly enjoyed the super tasty and fresh Frutti De Mer, In a delicious red sauce, this was a best ever, chunks of sole filet, mussels, the tenderest Calamari, and clams. Simply delicious, and with a basket of bread to help soak up all that delicious sauce!!! My other half enjoyed the Cacio y Pepi - Super tasty, another great choice! For dessert, Profiteroles - a puff pastry with ice cream in the middle, served with chocolate sauce and fresh berries. Another great choice paired with a cup of hot, black coffee. A great choice for lunch or dinner and Sage also has Sunday brunch.“

“Had a great experience here! The food was delicious with that classic American comfort food vibe, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our server, Tammy, was especially outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout the meal without ever being intrusive. She made sure we had everything we needed and really helped make the experience enjoyable. Great service can make all the difference, and Tammy definitely delivered. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in upstate New York.“

“Absolutely excellent dinner location for Thanksgiving. Authentic Revolutionary War Era Inn setting with phenomenal dinner menu for Thanksgiving. 4 of us came here for Thanksgiving- my wife, me and her parents, we all got something different and this place did not disappoint on anything. The chateubriand filet mignon and New Zealand rack of lamb were on point in every way. The side vegetables- the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the arugula, the green beans, and the carrots were all perfectly cooked to an optimome composition and coloring. The popovers were a nice throwback a little dry but the strawberry butter more than made up for them. The dessert the Belgian chocolate mousse was impeccable. The overall ambiance and atmosphere of this place was very Yankee in a great way, it reminded me of Olde New England Inns and Taverns. Pricing wise it was not the most economical menu but doing Thanksgiving at home with guests wouldn’t have been cheaper. I definitely recommend anyone slightly interested in a place like this come here as they will fully enjoy. We did not reside here but if their hotel accommodations are on par with their dining accommodations, you will get what you pay for and then some.“

“We recently ordered lunch from The Beacon Daily for a group of 20 people attending a special event weekend at Glynwood in Cold Spring, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, Chris, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since The Beacon Daily typically does not offer direct delivery for a la carte orders, I explained that this lunch was part of a very important three day celebration and that everything needed to be handled with extra care. Without hesitation, Chris personally stepped in, took ownership of the order, and even delivered it himself all the way to Glynwood's Perkins House. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our requests were truly remarkable. He thoughtfully provided compostable plates, napkins, and flatware and made sure every aspect of the order was handled flawlessly. It is rare to find a business owner so personally invested in ensuring a customer's event is successful. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. The event planner shared that the lunch was extremely well received, with guests offering numerous compliments throughout the afternoon. Breakfast was excellent with fresh avocado, maduro plantains, huevos rancheros and other sides and it really was enough for the day. Looking forward to getting back up to Broadway again.“
