best bakery. period. small and unpretentious. their sourdough is so good and their conchitas are (rightfully) legendary. great prices. i can’t say enough good things
My review is not thorough because I haven’t tried the pastries and breads. This morning I ordered two tamales, chicken and pork, and I must say they were the best tamales I ever tried: moist, with chunks of chicken and pork and very well seasoned.
Would love to go back and try the other items.

Based on the reviews, Masa Madre is a fantastic bakery in Queens. The pastries are out of this world, and the sourdough loaf and foccaccia are also out of this world. Their famous conchas are delicious, and everything else they make is great. The Sweet Bread is simply outstanding. The 3 leches cake passion fruit is delicious. They also sell various pastries, tortas, and sandwiches, which usually sell out before 4pm. Custom cake orders, like the Opera cake, are taken with care and are perfect. The Agua frescas are delicious and refreshing. The people are super friendly and the mood is light and fun. It is a very calm place to go and a must go to eatery.
