I’ve been a loyal patron of this little gem in Avon for nearly a decade, and every single visit has left me with a full stomach and a happy heart. For years, George and Elizabeth worked their magic behind the counter, crafting pizzas that transported you straight to Naples. This summer, they passed their beloved oven — and their legacy — to Chris and Nicki, the new owners, as they embarked on new culinary adventures. When I dined there this week for the first time under the new ownership, I’ll admit, I was curious (and a bit nervous) to see if anything had changed. I’m thrilled to report that Chris and Nicki have beautifully carried the torch forward. The menu and recipes remain intact, and the pies are every bit as divine as ever. My go-tos are the Celeste, Burrata, and Picante Quattro Formaggi — each a masterpiece in its own right. But here’s a secret: the best pizza isn’t even on the menu. Do yourself a favor — grab a seat by the chef's table, order a drink, and ask him to surprise you with something special. Watching that wood-fired oven at work while your pizza takes shape is pure culinary theatre. I often joke that if I had to choose my last meal on earth, it would be at In Forno. Judging by the smiles and overheard conversations from other diners, I’m not the only one who feels that way. “Nice place, with consistently good food, descent atmosphere, and normally good service. I was there during a volleyball tournament, where the volume of customers seemed to really slow everything down, but I guess it's to be expected, but only to an extent. I've been here a few times, and would definitely go back.“

“We ordered a large Extreme Supreme. The toppings were fresh, the crust was melt in your mouth cooked to perfection, and the extra cheese was just right. We usually order extra sauce at other places but decided not to at Master P and glad we didn’t. The amount of ingredients to crust ratio was on point. We took our leftovers home and ate them cold and the pizza was still bangin’ 😎. It was my first time enjoying a Master P pizza and I will most definitely be back.“

“Jets Pizza is one of our favorite pizza places right now. We usually love to find a good local place with solid pizza as a fun go-to place. We previously had one spot that was our absolute favorite but they ended up closing so we had to find a replacement that could compare. Jets has better pizza than most chain pizza restaurants, so it was a good switch. The fact that the staff are always so pleasant really helped as well.“

“Tried Antonio's Pizzeria on Detroit Rd for the first time. Bella, bella, bella! The order was ready for pick up when we arrived and smelled amazing. They were so friendly kind to us. The pizza was delicious. The sausage and hand cut pepperoni taste amazing. The crust and sauce were great too. Two slices and I was full. Can't wait to eat more tomorrow! “Heard about Forte Pi from friend about great chicken tenders and fresh, organic food. We ordered carry out "make your own" pepperoni pizza with mushrooms, chicken tenders and salad shaker. Everything was superb! Two tenders is enough for four people. Pizza crust amazing, thin and light. Lemon salad dressing fresh and light. Shared feast with view of Lake Erie. Friendly service with explanation of all menu options. Will definitely be back.“

“After a quick trip to Dillard's, Cynthia and I headed to Chatty's Pizzeria to try their pizza. WOW is all I can say! Their food is delicious and they are quite hospitable! We enjoyed the tomato and basil pizza and a large house salad, too. We had the vegan mushroom roll and cheese bread. The dipping sauce that accompanied both was a homemade tomato and basil puree. Everything was perfect here. We'd highly recommend Chatty's Pizzeria.“

“Bought 2 pizzas on Friday evening for pick up. Order was ready and staff was very nice even though is was a little busy. My family and I have been buying pizzas for various family events for the past two years at Romeo’s. I really like their chicken topped pizza with some barbecue sauce added on top (extra). And they are not shy when it comes to adding pepperoni topping. One good thing I notice with them, is that their pizzas don’t drip in oil…which can happen with other pizza joints. So, without destroying the taste of their pizzas they have reduced oil, more of it being less messy than more healthy. And the pizza crust still tastes good.“

“I just want to shout out Doughboy's Pizza & Wings for the catering for my daughter’s party. If you’re looking to have a really good pizza party & then some, go there. I got 3 whole sheet pizzas, 100 wings, a party pan of salad & rigatoni/meatballs with silverware & plates for $286 plus tip. It was ready on time & fresh. They have such a great menu to choose from. 🩷Everyone loved the food 🍕🍗🥗🍝 There was about 30 kids & 15-20 adults & I still had food leftover.“

Saturday the barmaid was real cranky, had some type of attitude. went in there at 10:00 pm try to make conversation with barmaid, seemed like we were bothering her or like she had attitude because she could not close early. “A really nice neighborhood bar. It has the feel of a working man's bar. It's an atmosphere that I enjoy. The food I have tried is excellent with large portions. I had the best BLT of my life here. Usually I get the wings which far surpass Buffulo Wild Wings. The staff is friendly and very attentive. It is an out of the way place, but not far off the beaten path. I highly recommend.“

My husband and I loved everything we had: the lemon chicken was tender and flavorful, the Alfredo cavatelli was creamy perfection, and the sausage and meatballs were just incredible. Honestly, I can’t even pick a favorite—they were all that good. The bread and butter? Probably the best we’ve ever had. “Andy, his wife and Matt are always friendly and provide service with a smile and good conversation. The pizza is always delicious. It's nice to see the staff selling new items at the food counter. Thanks Andy and staff for providing great service at the best convenience store on the East Side. For the past year I've noticed the energy of the store has gotten better and better each day. “So my husband and I caved into the commercial for the new stuffed crust and we were not disappointed! The stuffed crust was just that stuffed and very flavorful. Every other stuffed crust we have had was thin and only tasted of cheese. This one actually filled my husband’s stomach off 4 slices. Very delicious and filling! We will be getting it again. Price reduction would be nice though as it’s only a medium pizza.“
