“We stopped at this restaurant after a visit to Shakerwoods. We arrived there for an earlier dinner around 430. It wasn't very busy. The staff was friendly. Our server was great. She checked on us often. There were 3 of us, and all of our meals were fantastic. By the time we left the restaurant was packed with people waiting, which is a sure sign that it is a good restaurant.
The restaurant is too far from our house to visit regularly, but if we are ever in the area we will be sure to stop in.“

“Such a cool place! A great feeling of an old school Fish n Chips style restaurant like the ones we grew up with! Kinda like the old Arthur Treachers restaurant but better! My fish and chicken combo was perfect! Love the Cole slaw too!
I hope more people support businesses like this one.“

“Just stopped in for some wings. And man they were amazing. Seasoned well and hot out the fryer. Sad I had to wait an hour to eat them. Would have loved to eat them hot. But they reheated well in the air fryer. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.“

1) please post a sign if your credit card is out of service
I ordered and you cooked the whole meal to the tell me.
2) can’t rate the temperature as I had to run to the ATM and then of course there were girls trying to get out money and must have had balances so took me forever. You should be lucky I was not frustrated and I came back. And even then had to drive home to serve
3) showed me as the customer the fish and nice portions
But you forgot my coleslaw so sad….

“Incredible food, excellent service. Had the Pineapple Tea, Bar-Jerk chicken and Curry chicken, with rice, cabbage and plantains. Fantastic. Highly recommend.“

“OMGoodness! I popped those fries in my mouth and wanted to pull over (and they were not stingy at all). Then I bit into a hushpuppy and almost had to pull over. A little further down the road, bit into a hugemungous shrimp and wanted to close my eyes but I'm driving so instead I just started singing. Was trying to save the fish till I got home but........pinched a piece, popped it in, brand new song; I started rapping, y'all!!! Their tarter sauce is different; wish I had asked for 2 extra cups. You gotta go. I'm in town for work and it's 35 minutes from my hotel, but you bettah best believe I'll be driving them 35 minutes back!! Go there! You'll love it!!!“

“I love that i can get fried gizzards. I have been looking for quite a while. I'm eating them right now. I also got fried okra and fried mushrooms. The flavor is great but I think they use too much salt. This is the 2nd time I have eaten from Hook Fish & Chicken and it was salty the last time too. Please use less salt or no salt.“

“Food is great as always, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Our kids even love to eat there. They had a nice thing going allowing customers to sign the walls, however that started to get obscene. Glad to see that they're starting to paint over that stuff, so it's not much of a concern to take our children there.“

“I got the oxtail dinner they give you great portions for your money for one. Now baby let me tell y’all about the taste those oxtails were definitely cooked to perfection Mac and cheese and cabbage reminded me of my great grandmas and she was from the south so this is truly some down home southern cooking with cornbread on the side I wish I would have known about it sooner. It’s an extremely warm environment when you go in and that’s rare around here it’s nice to be greeted by a smiling face and now the ultimate thing to set off my meal was that banana pudding pound cake baby I could just kiss the cook god blessed them hands for sure. I will definitely be back again my loves“

“Not sure why I was only one of two customers here, because my food was delicious. The waiter was kind, fast, and attentive. I got the chimichanges with shredded beef. It was so good! It was fresh, hot, and served quickly! It was also reasonably priced.“

“We loved it. The brisket quesadilla was great. So were the ribs! Really good. The mac n cheese was a bit weird for me. Like a sour cheese or something I didn't love. I would definitely go back though. The owner was sweet and attentive. Worked hard right along with the staff.“

“Error made with my order today at Marinos.. I ordered the Italian Delight and received the Tour of Italy.. when I told the waitress about the error she went to the chef, who refused to come out of the kitchen, and said I would have to pay for both meals if I insisted the error be corrected.. I angrily replied I would go hungry.. the chef came out of the kitchen, discussed the order, brought me the correct meal and only charged me for the meal I ordered.. Its a shame I had to get loud, make a small vocal scene, and be an embarrassment to friends to get the issue resolved.. Waitress was great, food was excellent, and a relaxing atmosphere overall.“

“WOOOW!!!!! What amazing food and service!! The atmosphere is INCREDIBLE too!!! Being newer to the area this is definitely one of the best places we have been to yet!!!! I wish I would have taken pictures of our food!!! We definitely highly recommend!!!!! Their drinks are to die for!! They have done in seating outside during warm weather and very family oriented!!! “The store is filthy inside but the crew are always friendly considerate and helpful. The food is always made fresh when you order it. Some people they don't like Long John Silver's there's very few left I'm pretty certain there's just a handful of secret society people who keep this company in business but I truly like Nae love the chicken and the fish for that matter the rest of the menu is sketchy in the fact that you have to pay for a drink instead of coming with a meal but I'm cool with that I like this place in the service you get helps.“
