“This is a great little neighborhood bar and grille. The food here is surprisingly great. Our party was of 12 people and we all ordered different dishes. Everyone was well pleased with their order. The servers at the canal boat lounge are very attentive and cordial to their guests, nice little family vibe.“

“Saw this place on new day cleveland and immediately saved this as a must go place. Finally was able to go. We had great service and the bar was very clean and had a relaxing feel to it. I wanted to try the nachos that were shown on the show but was told that they were discontinued. We did get chips and queso and the queso was very good. I normally get a burger but I did have one the night before so figured I'd try a chicken sandwich. Was kind of disappointed in the sandwich. Not much different than a frozen chicken patty youd buy from the grocery store. Fries were very good. Figure that since the waitress was very good and i saw other posts I'd give it a 4 and maybe try it again and get a burger the next time.“
“This restaurant has provided one of the best service. Our were was waited by PD, and let me tell you, he knew what we was talking about. He recommended items that were absolutely the best ones on the menu, yet he kept our preferences in mind and then suggested something. The portions were big and the food was fresh. “Now I can’t remember the smash burger I had but I know it had the house specialty sauce. In the first bite, the flavors of each item combined create the taste of fresh ingredients. The beef is fresh and local, as in a few miles away local. Everything that makes up that burger was local. I wish I had a picture to show but I smashed it with the quickness. The taste of that juicy burger left me separated from reality until there was nothing left. At that point I zapped back into reality so I didn’t get a pic. I’ll for sure be back again and hopefully get a picture for you all. Also, in the back, the kitchen is impressively clean. It looked as if they had just moved in that day. I arrived just before closing hours and a manager showed me the operations in the back while my burger was being made. Retro Burger has an excellent standard and that is why I’m recommending it. “If there are any problems with Bartenders or an employee get ahold of Chuck Korver owner. Any concerns you have, safety and or liabilities talk to Chuck and give him a chance to handle it. Any problems with other customers call Chuck about it. He will deal with it. Read reviews where someone was using Laundromat next door. Then went to leave. But Couldnt bc blocked in. Again call Chuck so he can take care of it and the customers violating fire code. Customers that bring there drinks out the bar outside Call Chuck. He will make sure customers are compliant. Chuck doesn't put up with bologna.“
“Called and ordered wings and fries for the game Sunday. Thus was our first time gettfood from there and they did not disappoint,the wings were awesome,they were big and meaty and perfectly cooked and sauced and the fries were a little crispy just like I requested. “Great, and I mean great employees. Dano himself regularly greets customers and checks on their satisfaction. Lakeside is accurate as it is nestled on the Portage Lakes waterfront. Good drink selection, and great daily specials. The burgers are great, but the buns fall apart as soon as you pick them up. Warm weather is all about the patio and picnic tables. They do have an interior bar as well and they have flat screens everywhere. They also boast the best boat docks of all of the restaurants on PLX. Dano is the most involved owner I've ever encountered. The parking lot is cramped and situated on narrow or one way streets. Can be difficult to navigate on crowded days or after dark. When you get there, park with the intention to get out easily. You'll see what I mean when you get there. Definitely a great place on a nice day or to watch a game.“
