From the instant I approached the glowing neon sign (which, I swear, winked at me), the world outside faded like a bad memory. My friends and I attended this establishment and were absolutely blown away by the service. Aly was a very exceptional waitress and clearly had a humor that was relevant to us all. The owner, Darcy, greeted us with a smile and shared the joy of fizzlestix with us. It felt as if we were at home, enjoying a meal with the closest of our families. We took advantage of the all you can eat steak special - which has by far been the best deal I have ever ran into. For us, we are a group of rather giant individuals. We can definitely eat and we destroyed 24 steaks as a group. They not only served us all of this fine sirloin, but they did it with a smile that was clear to light up the entire room. “The wife and I made a day trip to Akron to pick up something and thought we’d stop in for breakfast. Very friendly staff. Seated promptly and the waitress reviewed the specials and let us look at the menu for a minute. The owner came out and talked about some of the specials and brought us a sample treat. We ordered a couple of the eggs Benedict daily specials (one was the classic and the other was corned beef). We upgraded the hash browns to Mystic potatoes (cheesy hash browns). Everything was delicious! The cheesy hash browns were phenomenal and the Benedicts were both very good. My wife also got some pancakes which were cooked perfectly! There was enough food to bring some home for tomorrow! Highly recommend!“

“We're not from the area and took a chance on the place. From the outside of the building we were a bit hesitant - located in an older strip center - but inside, it was perfect! Even watched the FIFA game on the monitor close to where we were seated. Service was prompt and friendly. The food portions were larger than expected. One ordered a steak salad and was very pleased; one ordered the pasta salad with chicken and was very pleased. Just go hungry!!! Yes, we'd return when passing thru the area.“

“This place knows how to TCB - you know, take care of business. When marriage and family feel like prisons, you go to a place like this for burgers, meatloaf, and BIG salads. I especially enjoyed my meatloaf. Nice and soft, tons of flavor, maybe tasted like… mmmm, machu picchu. The vegetable rice was also good. So good, I think I saw Newman eating it in the corner (no VILE WEEDS!). Anyway, just glad that Kramer moved on from H&H Bagels, and has decided to run a grill. Waitress topped off my coffee multiple times and made sure my order came out correctly. Offered a cup to go as well. Definitely will return. Best service I have gotten at a restaurant in months. “I stopped by Buehler’s expecting to grab a quick bite, but ended up staying much longer than planned. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of fresh, homemade-style food.

The pizza was hot and flavorful, the salad bar was fresh, and everything looked clean and well organized. You can tell they put effort into keeping the food fresh throughout the day. The service was excellent—everyone I interacted with was welcoming and genuinely helpful.

The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that I’d love to see a few more hot meal options and a slightly larger rotating menu. Even so, it’s a great place for breakfast, lunch, or a quick dinner while shopping.

If you’re looking for fresh comfort food at reasonable prices with excellent service, Buehler’s Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back!“

“This is a great place to be, the staff and people who are there are friendly and personable. It is my favorite place to stop at when I am in the area doing scuba work for municipalities or just passing by. Our favorite bar tender was out due to surgery, but her replacement was just as accommodating. It is truly a place that you can stop in and feel welcome striking up a conversation with anyone at the bar. Absolutely a great time. I hope to attend a band event someday.“

“The food is good and above average but keep a tight eye on the bill . Not everyone has to , but every single time we go there our bill is higher than what it should be . It's almost like they are trained to make it more . As if them prices aren't already steep for what you . Small portion too .“

“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!“
