“Even on a stormy & cloudy night, a Dairy Queen visit will bring smiles to everyone faces. I love getting a sundaes but it is also fun to bring home some Cherry dipped Dilly bars & ice cream sandwiches for everyone else. It all disappears way too quickly. lol -We also love getting ice cream cakes for birthday parties & celebrations.

Parking: Parking is located on side & back of building with limited parking

“Their portions have gotten a lot smaller over the last year. Even a Dairy Queen small portion is larger than Handel’s now. I guess all good things must end.“

“Growing up in the area, I'm used to Handel's, so coming back to the area to visit family, it's always a treat to have a Handel's ice cream anytime if the year.

I tried the Horchata and was pleasantly surprise as I usually only get the mint chocolate chip.

“Everything I've had is delicious so we don't even mind the 40 minutes it takes to drive here from our house. I think my husband will cry when it's winter and he can't have his bourbon Carmel pecan ice cream!“

Expect the staff to give you a week old lobby freezer cake that taste extremely freezer burnt after they scraped the old writing off to put the new writing on and expect the manager to give you an attitude and tell you he won't refund you but give you a voucher for a future cake. “Anytime I go to Salem I stop here to get sub sandwiches. It would not be a trip to Salem without stopping here because I am in love with their sandwiches always fresh. “Went pretty close to closing, wanted a milkshake but they had already shut down the machines, but happily they were still willing to serve us. Got 5 pints of ice cream instead. The service and kindness they showed us right and closing was very nice. The ice cream was ok, nothing fantastic though. Prices weren't to bad for fresh served ice cream.“

“the ladies doing the counter were very helpful when I came in and placed an order for chocolates. I had never been to heggys and had brought my son and his stroller in. “I told my husband how fast, friendly, and accurate the drive-thru is. Exceptionally so. We bypass the closer ones because they aren't as consistent. He decided to go there to see. He said now he gets why I keep raving about this location. This is our preferred weekly ice cream destination, and yes, I mean over Handels as well. Great work, Boardman!“

“This is the worst DQ in our area. blizzards are always down from the top a few inches. We use to go there all the time and stopped going because of this reason. stopped on April 29 and could not go inside for some reason. tried the blizzard again and same result. Do yourself a favor and go to Canfield, Austintown or Columbiana. Extra nice places.“
