“The Village Pump is a great place! The atmosphere is extremely friendly. And the food is some of the tastiest in the area! We’ve been going there for many years and we have never had a bad meal yet! Food comes out piping hot every time and is very flavorful! They have specials each day that are always amazing! I highly recommend this place to anyone!“

“We stopped in here on a whim. We've heard good things but never bothered to try it... until tonight. First off, let's talk about service. Absolutely phenomenal and I can not stress that enough. Mike and his team absolutely killed it! Our waters were constantly full, our cocktails were delicious and the one on one conversation was excellent and this was on a fairly busy night. Every seat at the bar was full and atleast 3/4 of the dining room was full.DRINKS: All of our cocktails were excellent and their whiskey/bourbon selection is damn near second to none.APPS: Chicken tenders, pretzel, hot peppers, and confit wings were all exceptional.DINNERS: Chicken & Street corn salad, Blueberry chicken sandwich, Portobello melt, and Chicken stir fry were all exquisite.DESSERT: Oreo cheesecake was excellent.We will absolutely be back!“

“The owner spent alot of time studying English pubs . I've spent alot of time in English pubs and this is pretty close . It's a cross between a pub and resturant . It definitely has a proper pub atmosphere to it and I definitely enjoyed it. I had the fish and chips which were definitely a good representation as close as I've had in the usa . If you're in the Salem Ohio area stop in .“

“The place is awesome!! Came in from out of town and was looking for a good beer. This place did not disappoint. I am very picky when it comes to beer, growing up in ?? and traveling I have experienced what good beer taste like. The selection that the CP carries is impressive. The best part was talking with the owner and getting schooled on the history and information about each beer. You can tell he loves what he does and is passionate about not only the beer but that you have a great experience. “My waitress (gia?) Was nice and made some good suggestions for dinner. I got the a.m. burger and 6 wings. The burger was delicious. Perfectly cooked and juicy. The wings were pretty terrible. Really dry and overcooked. The service and the burger made up for it luckily.“

“This was my first time ever at Amen Corner, my bestfriend who is my brides maid in my wedding threw me a bridal shower and Amen Corner is the place we had it. The food was amazing and the help there were the kindest gal's and the room was in the back right through the bar and dining room. I will be going back to try out some other food!“

“A little late on writing reviews so figured I'd start getting caught back up. This bar and grille is a local semi-dive bar with cold beer and terrific food. On this visit, my friend and I sat at the bar as it was busy due to a small work party going on as well. We enjoyed a cold beer while we perused the menu. They are known for their burgers but I was stuck on wanting to order the sausage sangwich and boy I was not disappointed. The sausage patty was absolutely delicious served topped with provolone, peppers and onions on a grilled bun and a side of fries to accompany (Sadly, I forgot to take pics). In asking one of the owner's who was behind the bar, he told me that the sausage is made locally right up the street at DePizzo's sausage. I know this place to have fantastic homemade sausage but a fire at their small facility shut them down a few years ago but they still make it in limited quantities and Shaker's is one of the beneficiaries of this deliciousness. The owner ended up chatting with us for approx. 45-minutes where he bought us a few rounds of beers on top of a few shots since Christmas was right around the corner. Great little spot and I need to get back to try their burgers. I'll update once I've done so.“

“Pizza was ok. Wings were on point . We had one server for like 20 minutes, she told us her replacement would be over. He came over 30 minutes later mentions he's leaving and his replacement would be by. The replacement showed up almost 40 minutes after the last one already left. It was nonsense. Next time I'll eat at the bar. Much less confusing and better service.Also, put better descriptions on your online menu. I don't know what any of your sandwiches are if they've got some wacky name.“

“Love the small but amazing atmosphere, as well as the regulars (like me) and the awesome bartenders, like Jen! Always have a great time there, and I recommend visiting on Thursdays at 8 for karaoke... plus, order a giant pretzel, you won't be disappointed!“
