“With its unique design and solid drinks, High St Hop House is over if my favorite bars in downtown Akron. The bar itself isn't huge, but it's beautifully decorated - like I'd imagine a bar from the 1920s - and it's immediately adjacent to an art gallery sitting area where they occasionally have live music as well. Walking thru the gallery, there's a second bar at the back with curated wine selections. A unique space, good service, and a fine drink selection make this place a gem downtown.“

“Went back home to visit and hung out out with my family here. The whole entire night was a vibe! The owner was super cool and turned out that he knew my brother, who also owns a bar in the downtown Akron area. We enjoyed good music, good drinks and played darts. We didn't get around to shooting pool, but I thought it was pretty cool they have a quarter dispensing machine, so the bartenders don't have to be bothered with that all night. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting them if you're in town. I sure will the next time I'm home visiting! Peace and Blessings ??“

“We all know how crazy it can be to eat in a restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Well, we went to eat and were able to walk right in without a horrendous wait time (there was no wait time at all actually). We were seated- drinks were ordered and delivered and our food order was in all within 10 mins. We both ordered the Valentine’s Day Special Parmesan crusted NY strip steak. It came with a salad and a side. I ordered the mashed potatoes while my other half got the loaded baked potato. THEY HAVE WHITE FRENCH people! And oh my goodness is it good. The steaks (cut in house) were just the right thickness and I was impressed with the size of them. I feel like they were bigger than the 9 oz we ordered. The steaks were cooked perfectly to our expectations(MR) and the onions and mushrooms were sautéed and portioned fabulously. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy was a solid 10/10. The loaded baked potato was very loaded with all of the fixings. Service was spot on- we never waited for refills- and the manager/owner (?) personally came to our table to make sure we were happy. Such a hidden gem just across from the Belden Village Mall. We will be back again and again!“

“Easy access from 76 West a road we travel 2-3 times per year. We will now plan our trip around eating here! Absolutely amazing food, great presentation and so much of it!! Prices were fantastic, almost like they forgot to raise them for the last 10 years. The quantity was so much we all went home with extra that will easily make lunch tomorrow and maybe even dinner too! This is a hidden gem. The best part was Cheryl our server. She was superb. Happy, excited, full of energy and loud. I say loud because that was a huge benefit. It’s an open atmosphere and it wasn’t noisy at all but she spoke so sharp and clear and I just really liked her. She is also the person that answered the phone when I called 3.5 hours East of her asking if they would be open when we arrived. Her personality really sold me on the phone that this is the place I wanted to take my family to eat dinner before we continued our trip West. 💯❤️ everything ‼️“

“I stopped by for Christmas it was the only bar open, I got a Long Island and it was the best one I’ve had in a long time, the people were really friendly and nice, it was a fun atmosphere. And the bartender was out of this world with customer service, and even here dress was on point. Thanks guys!!! I’ll have to stop in another time and bring some friends.“

“We took the Lust Promo girls out to Highland Square Friday night and stoped into Rays Pub. The atmosphere was fun and the bartenders were on top of their service. We had a round of shots, the girls sang along with the music and we were on our way. We will be back to visit Rays on our next trip to Highland Square.

I was already planning on coming back for the trivia, but now Im coming back for the trivia AND food. our server Riley was also really great and kept our drinks full all night.“
