Mi Cozumel Downtown is described as a destination rather than just a restaurant, offering great atmosphere and very colorful presentation of drinks that guests are encouraged to photograph. The energy keeps visitors coming back, with friendly service and a robot dancer that amazed guests. Beer is served in huge terracotta mugs placed inside a smoking, metal VIP briefcase, and the beers are the coldest beers known to man. A birthday celebration included a live mariachi band that dressed the guest of honor in a sombrero and played birthday music while the whole restaurant clapped along. A spicy Modelo beer flight contained full sized Modelo cans dipped in a spicy tomato sauce and topped with seafood, accompanied by a bowl of steak and oysters. A 160lb lizard dragging a boombox danced and crawled up a tree. Servers were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly enjoyed their jobs, making the dining experience a 10 of 10. The runner was very entertaining and interactive every time he brought out a beach. The food and service were top of the line, and a friend's birthday was celebrated with happy birthday sung in a very Mexican way. The restaurant is highly recommended for a nice show with nice food and drinks and a wonderful night on the town.
