“Never been here before, but my boyfriend suggested we go since he loves it. He was so right, this place was so good! We ordered online ahead of time, and got our food right on time. It was nice and hot, and the flavors were amazing. Will absolutely be coming again. I suggest ordering the soul bowl if it's your first time, you get an array of dishes and flavors!“

“We called the restaurant about Buy one get one quesadilla special we’re told was only for online orders. We attempted to order online but couldn’t get the site to give us the discount. We entered the restaurant in the staff was very helpful in assisting with the online ordering.“

“Having a tip automatically added to the bill of two people is off-putting. For the record, I'm a good Tipper. I did actually add to the 15% automatically added because our server was awesome. But tipping is an addition, not part of the bill. Heck, add it to the cost of the food and I'll pay it. but not in tipping. that's my choice.“

“Food was outstanding. Beef ribs literally fell off the bone flavorful, and juicy. Greens were absolutely great, mac nd cheese and candied yams were just how they are expected to be, delicious. As a truck driver when I run across great food it's appreciated. After a great meal their house Kool aid was like childhood. I loved it. Thanks for the great eats and service.“

I ordered the 6-piece wing dinner with a side of spaghetti and greens, plus a Polish Boy with fries, BBQ sauce, and coleslaw on top. The wings were fried to perfection — crispy and seasoned well. The spaghetti tasted fresh with a nice pasta sauce, and the greens had a good mix of flavors, definitely homemade. The Polish Boy was solid too, just could’ve used a bit more coleslaw to balance everything out.

Customer service is a work in progress, but to be fair, it looks like it’s just one guy handling everything. Respect to him for holding it down. I’ll definitely be back to try more.“

“This place came highly recommended by our cousins, so when we found ourselves in the area, we decided to check it out.
We ordered chicken wings & waffles with a side of yams. The food was freshly prepared and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!“

“Omg I was not expecting to have the best lobster of my life coming here.. we stopped in for food cuz they are open late.. and got the fried lobster n omg!!!! 🫠🤤🤤🤤 it was the best I ever had seriously!! Our bartender was Florida she was a whole vibe and the chefs name is O n he is a G with that dam lobster!!!

“I was quite disappointed by the burnt quality of the food, or perhaps the lack of grease changes. My pork chops were unfortunately charred, resulting in an unpleasant taste, and were both overcooked and left uneaten. The most enjoyable part of the meal was the Mac n Cheese, which was rather good, as were the black-eyed peas.“

“Who was amazing is cooked fresh staying that it is pork so it’s probably better than calling ahead of time if you’re in a rush. Delicious good soul food. “I just tried Mattie Ruth's for the first time and I got the smothered pork chops with tomatoes with okra, mac and cheese. It was the best tasting food. The porkchops were so good that the made me cry. I will eat here again, just might be lunch today.“

“I went here to enjoy a night out with staff and it was the perfect little bar that we needed. The staff was so friendly and great listeners. I ordered a tequila sunrise and a prime rib philly steak sub with fries and mozzarella sticks. I absolutely loved both! The mozzarella sticks are topped with parmesan cheese and were cooked just right. This is a great place for a quick bite to eat and drink. The Dj was also full of life and was very entertaining ? “When I first came up to Cleveland this one of the first restaurants I ate at and im still in love with that memory a lot of people or Clevelandnaires dont care for it but I love there food as a bachelor this is the closest I can come to a home cooked meal I remember when they only had one restaurant and I finally got to meet Angie she is so sweet gave me a peach cobbler on her that was the sweetest thing anyone could of did for me today as I didn't have the money to get it god bless them“
