Dave's Cosmic Subs Reviews
Ordered two turkey subs, they were so pathetically made. Half a piece of tomato on each half of the sub? Can you not at least use a whole piece that can cover the sub? Very small portion for the price. I thought I was ordering from Coventry but it was actually University Heights location. First time I’ve ever felt this way about their subs and I’m wondering if it’s a Univ Hts location issue.
I never thought I'd have another italian sub sandwich again after I stopped eating meat in the late '90s (yeah, people can do it for that long and still be alive. Amazing, right?). And then I saw that Dave's Cosmic Subs has vegan options. Well now I'm enjoying them again thanks to this place. I can't believe I've waited this long to try anything from them, but I'm making up for it now.
Ate at the Toledo location today. Outstanding subs and service. I had the Crazy Dave and my wife had the Peace Steak. Everything Was super fresh. The location was spotless as well. We will be back... soon!

Dave's Cosmic Subs is a restaurant with awesome food and an amazing design that has been a favorite spot for many over the years. The staff is friendly and accommodating, offering a nice selection of hot and cold sandwiches, chips, cold beverages, and delicious desserts like chocolate brownies. The place is surrounded by rock band posters and album covers, perfect for fans of the 60's and 70's. Whether you're looking to carry out or eat in, Dave's offers a great selection of sandwiches, sides, and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Recently, customers have shared mixed experiences. Some praise the vegan meatball sub, noting that the "meat" balls are generously filled, and the cosmic sauce pairs well with the marinara. Others mention that the cheesesteak sandwich was disappointing, being dry and not really a cheesesteak, especially at the high price of over $12 per sub. Many long-time fans are upset about changes to the menu and atmosphere, missing their favorite sandwich, Dave's Blue, which was once a 10/10 favorite. Some customers received hot sandwiches that were not even warm, despite arriving early. Despite these issues, the restaurant remains a popular spot for its unique vibe and diverse menu.
