Great food
Great take out tasty food!!!
I use to go to MCL for a healthy home cooked meal, but it’s closed. I have been searching for a healthy replacement on the east side. I found that at Madison’s! The food is delicious and the staff were friendly and polite. The place was clean with plenty of seating. This is my new go to restaurant!

Madison Soul Food Kitchen offers a mix of experiences and is located within a church, creating a unique atmosphere. The smothered pork chops are tender and flavorful, served with delicious sides like green beans and mashed potatoes. Customers suggest this place to many people, as the food makes both the stomach and heart happy. The Mac and cheese has a good amount of cheese, and the candied yams are not overly sweet. The BBQ Chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender, and the meatloaf is to die for. The lemonade is wonderful, and the Mac and cheese and green beans are awesome, while the sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes are very good as well. The baked chicken dinner plate with Mac n Cheese, steamed rice with baked beans, and collard greens was delicious with just the right amount of seasoning.
Some days, the menu may be limited, and the quality can vary. Customers prefer the original kitchen staff for a more authentic experience, and they appreciate the beautiful-spirited staff who provide excellent hospitality. Despite some inconsistencies, those seeking classic soul food flavors and a taste of nostalgia keep coming back to Madison Soul Food Kitchen for a meal that feels like home. The parking has lots of space, and cash is the only payment method accepted.
