Starbucks in Dayton

“I hate to write this review and rate the service a 4 however there is one particular employee that for some reason does not give me the level of service that I’ve witnessed him give other patrons. I frequent this location often before work. I tried to chalk it up as it being his personality but after today I just left feeling that there is maybe someone that he has preconceived of me based on appearance. I have tried greeting him with a friendly hello when he’s at the register and he legit doesn’t say it back just says “what can I help you with”. No hello back no hello how are you and again…I have witnessed that he does this with other patrons. Additionally, this morning I had a gift card to use. I scan the gift card that has $10 on it. My order was $12. The first attempt the gift card doesn’t take the $10 off but he proceeds to total my order and it wasn’t until I went to pay the difference that i realized it didn’t take it off. I let him know the $10 didn’t reflect my balance. He says “yea it didn’t take it off”. Okay….i then ask if I can try it again. We go to try it again…does the same thing. At the point he says “Yea it doesn’t look like it’s taking it off”. He doesn’t offer a solution, he just stands there looking at me. It wasn’t until the manager (Who is always nice and friendly and greets me when I walk in and knows my order from memory which is impressive and very well appreciated) who recognizes there’s and issue and comes over to help. He takes my phone, manually puts my gift card # in and boom it was fixed. I contemplated on this review but ultimately decided to go through with it because that’s just how off putting this particular worker is and I’m not quite sure what it is about me in particular that doesn’t deserve to receive the same service I’ve repeatedly seen him give to other people. And I’m only writing this because I’ve already left the establishment and it’s heavy on my heart which isn’t a great feeling as that interaction is typically my first of the day.“

“Great customer service. The wait was not long. Hand hygienes was performed by the staff who made my order that day. A big plus to not have to ask to clean hands or equipement after using on someone's else beverage. Work area clean and uncluttered. Presentation of food was clean and easy to see the signs. The ratio of ice to my beverage was spot on. I enjoyed my visit on this day at this location. The two ladies were great.“

“Starbucks baristas are typically top notch but the ones in harrahs gulf coast are beyond that not only friendly but make incredible drinks my only complaint is that they close at 2 I was pretty upset when I was ready for my second peppermint “

“Went to this store recently and Bella ( I think the head of the starbies) was amazing. She has the best smile and was super sweet. There was a few people in line she appeared to be the only one working- and she was so calm and polite. Great job krogers picking a grade A. employee.“

“I went into the Starbucks. I’ve been in there many times and usually everything’s fine however, this time I met Cassie who went above and beyond the norm was so sweet beautiful smile, funny I mean, just exactly what you want when you meet a employee for the first time or for the hundredth time and you could tell that this was an authentic attitude not something you know just to put on a face for the public and it made me feel very special and appreciated and I just wanna make sure that Cassie gets the recognition that she deserves. I don’t know her from Adam noah but if there were 1000 of her working all around Dayton, this whole town would be a better Place. I know she made my day and I’m sure she makes each and every customers day that happens across the Starbucks thank you Cassie Chuck LEONHARDT.“

“Drinks are always great and if there is a problem they have always fixed it. They get to know you and recognize you when arriving. One of their associates started writing tea facts on my ice tea cup which is the coolest ever. Always clean and comfortable. I have many choices close to me and it is always Mad River I choose.“

“This is a really nice Starbucks inside of Target. They always have a great collection of cups and mugs for the cup hunters out there. Their staff is extremely friendly too.I recently tried a new drink that has been getting mixed reviews, and the barista made sure that I liked it. When I was kind of "meh" about it, she added some additional flavors and it made it much better!My only complaint, is that they haven't gotten hip to the online/app ordering yet. Otherwise, this is a really nice location!“

“Starbucks is busy, we all know that. But the crew that was at this location on June 1st, 2026 during the afternoon rush was amazing. I was waiting for a door dash order and the crew was on the ball and working hard! No one in my house goes anywhere else but this Starbucks for coffee now. I suggest Starbucks give them something for their hard work!“

“Most places don’t care about customer service anymore, but this one does!! They always have the nicest people on com and at the window. it’s refreshing compared to a lot of the other places around here. My food has also always been hot and my drinks always correct. Good job to the people in there!!“
