“What a gem! We stumbled upon this little brewpub one evening while looking for a spot to watch a college football game. The barkeep was super friendly, joked around with us and made us feel completely welcome. We never felt rushed -- and the game went into OT! Beer and food were tasty. It had a vibe like we were all hanging at someone's house, just chillin and watching football!

“We are from Texas and had to visit Columbus for my husbands job. We came here for dinner this past Thursday evening and the service was amazing. I had a very cranky baby and several of the waitstaff offered to get her a variety of different things to make her happy. I really appreciated that. I ordered the fried pickles and the fish and shrimp. The pickles were SPEARS which made me very happy as I love me some fried pickles but I can’t get spears anywhere around here. The fish and shrimp were hot and fresh and so crispy. Beer was ice cold and I left fat and happy! Thanks again for being so kind and understanding with my baby girl!“

“CoHatch has been by far the best coworking community ive been a member of, the value you get with a membership is most excellent. for someone like myself that is a roaming worker, I never like to work the same place every day, cohatch is perfect as there are many locations.. not only that, but each location has its own vibe, its own decor, and personality.. Having local roasted espresso is another plus as i get craft coffee-shop quality espresso as much as i want.. the staff has been nothing less than fantastic in helping me find things, answer questions and the like, wifi is always nice n fast, all locations use the same credentials so its easy to get connected. each membership level includes 24x7 access which is perfect for the ikes of myself who tends to work at odd hours. it really feels more like hanging out in a trendy coffee shop than it does in an office.“

This is extremely annoying and frankly I'm absolutely sick and tired of basic things like this getting missed on orders. The meal is literally ruined over something so minor...do better.

Edit. While I'm keeping the above message intact, the original "service" 1 star review really was an angry culmination of repeated order delivery errors from a multitude of resturants, not just Barelys. In fact, we still ate our meal the next day (with newly acquired sauces) and I have to admit the food was awesome. Additionally, we received a very friendly and prompt response from Jason the GM who graciously accepted the feedback and pledged to spread my frustration, so it's only right to update the service to 5. Mistakes happen, and yes I was angry, but their immediate and professional response deserves a rescore. We will be giving Barleys another go and I'm confident my future review with be 5 stars across the board, from the start.“

“I think of the St James Tavern as the best pub in Columbus. It has a large pool room at the back, which I do not use, but plenty do. It has a great Juke Box. The pub staff and clientele are extremely friendly, the beers are high quality and often changing (nearly all microbrews), and there are no flashy TVs. This is not a sports bar. This is a pub. The collection of liquors is very good too. Mostly it is the atmosphere I really like. Traditional pubs like this are disappearing all over the country, including Columbus. This one is a real treasure. If you want a quiet chat come earlier in the late afternoon or early evening. The parking is very easy then. By 10 pm is will be more crowded, noisier -- but it is always a positive crowd.“

Great drinks, bartenders do a great job of getting to everyone during busy times, and talking with the folks and making you feel at home during slower times. No frills bar, pool tables, darts, keno, pop a shot, golf game, large bar area, tables. Dj some nights, sports tvs. Good place to watch sports or meet friends.“

“I heard about Mac's a while back and today I finally made a point of dining there mid-afternoon. I judge it to be a place where you can have a cold drink, a good meal, and visit with your friends. Low-volume music is playing in the background but not enough to interfere with normal volume conversation. Very friendly and efficient servers. They kinda keep their eyes on you during your visit so all you have to do is to raise your hand and one of them will be with you in a moment. The food is very good with decent-sized servings at reasonable prices. At the moment, I plan on going there for some "Me Time" once a month.“
