“Stop reading and just go. The food is incredible. Their wings are amazing and worth the trip alone. The friendly bartender told us they bake the wings first, then finish them in the fryer, which gives them an amazing texture. They are very tender on the inside, but still very crispy on the outside. My buddy's tacos were also great, and even though I was full from the wings, I almost ordered tacos too. They smelled great and were calling me.“

“I play in a pool league and cornerstone is my teams home bar. The food comes from Angie's pizza and I have always been satisfied with their food quality. The bar has reasonable prices and is fairly clean. The restrooms are decently clean and not run down. The pool tables are not the worst. Not the best. They're acceptable bar tables. I prefer this bar to most other ones we play at in the league. the main thing that separates this bar from a lot of other bars we play at is the bartender Carrie, her level of service and attention is phenomenal and I don't think there's another bartender in Gahanna I like nearly as much for the quality of service I get.“

“This sport bar near campus always has a crazy game day vibe with many large screens. Service is amazing and WiFi is fast. It could be a great work or study area while quiet hours. The bar only serves alcohol and there are many pizzas and wings available at the side pizza bar. Special events are held. The patio is also lovely with seats and artificial grass.“

“As an Army Combat Veteran who recently moved downtown from California, I was looking forward to celebrating Independence Day here. While the red snapper was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, the initial service was incredibly disappointing. I flagged down a blonde bartender to order a beer, but she never returned to take my food order. Despite the bar being empty, she passed by multiple times, seemingly more focused on asking coworkers how her hair looked than serving me sitting at the bar. She also ignored me while being overly attentive to regulars who arrived later. Thankfully, the head bartender noticed I was waiting and saved the night. I ended up ordering my dinner, dessert and remaining drinks from the other bartenders. I waited for her shift to end before closing out my $80 ticket. I then left the remaining bartenders $30.
It is a shame that great food is overshadowed by a lack of basic attentiveness to new guests.“

“Didn't eat. Just had a drink with friends & I got there late. Prices are about the average for drinks.
Was told I needed to go to the bar to get my drink there was no table service. Waited about 10 minutes before someone came to take my drink order. Was told it was cash only and couldn't have a tab. That was fine I had cash.
A couple other people i was with had food as well as drinks. I was beyond surprised when the bartender who had told me cash only and no tabs approached asked them if they were ready to close out their tab or if they needed anything else. Both paid with a card.
I'm not sure if they are regulars there and that was why? I am not sure how often they frequent but this was my first time. The other person who was at the bar also getting a drink when I was there was told it was cash only and no tabs as well.“

Extremely attentive without being overbearing, positive without being fake, quick with refills and checking on us. “We have been to Double Barrel several times and it never disappoints. My BF loves the Korean wings while my favorite is the grilled chicken sandwich. Sky has been our server the past couple times we’ve been there and she is the best! Very attentive and friendly. Our only minor complaint was the volume of the live music. It’s nice to have live music but not at the level where you need to shout to the people you are eating with and the server. We will definitely be back but may avoid live music nights and just stick to football games.“

“We were in town for a volleyball tournament and stumbled upon Flatiron Tavern on Friday afternoon. After one visit, it quickly became our go-to spot for the entire weekend.

What immediately stood out was the welcoming, neighborhood feel. The front door was wide open on a beautiful summer afternoon, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax after a long day. The staff made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. Gunner, Drayven, Katie, Emma, and Brent were all incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive. Their genuine hospitality is what kept bringing us back throughout our three-day stay.

We were traveling with kids, and the staff was very accommodating when our kids sat at a separate table. It’s those little touches that make visitors feel comfortable and appreciated.

The food, drinks, and overall atmosphere were consistently enjoyable, but what really sets Flatiron Tavern apart is the people. Every visit felt relaxed, welcoming, and authentic.

The one exception was a staff member who came on shift during one of our visits and again on Sunday. The energy of the room noticeably changed. She seemed overwhelmed and scattered, and the warm, easygoing vibe that had defined our previous experiences disappeared. On Friday, she immediately closed the front door, cutting off the fresh air and open atmosphere that had made the space so inviting. While everyone has off days and busy shifts, the contrast between her approach and the rest of the staff was significant.

That said, one employee doesn’t define a place. The overwhelmingly positive experiences we had with the rest of the team are the reason we’ll remember Flatiron Tavern so fondly. If we’re back in the area for another tournament, we’ll definitely be returning. It’s the kind of local spot every town hopes to have—a place where good food, good drinks, and genuinely good people make you feel right at home.“

“This bar is so awesome! Matt is one of my favorite bartenders! They have live music on Friday and Saturday and open mic night on Tuesdays! The patio was super cozy and the inside is all wood and rustic. Worth checking out this location neighborhood bar. During the summer, they have cookouts on Thursdays very affordable.“

“We were in town for a Buckeyes game. Our AirBnb was about two blocks away so this was so convenient. We loved everything about it. The atmosphere as soon as we walked in, we knew we’d love it. Our server Preston was very nice and recommended to my wife to order from kids menu to get a single patty burger, it was still a pretty big burger. The fries were fresh hot and many, I had the tots, they were OK but I liked the fries better. Fish and chips very good, a large piece of breaded fish well seasoned. Over all I would give them a very good rating.“

“This place is great! I visited this place on a work trip after I treated myself to a lovely steak dinner at Mastros. It was so friendly, vibes were amazing, and the bartender was absolutely awesome! I believe her name was Tanya. She had great tunes playing, told the funniest stories, and had such a friendly aura around her. Love paddys“

“This bar epitomizes the home town old school vibe(this bar has been in business since the 1930's)! Punky and Aggie behind the bar are pure awesomeness! I am from Cleveland and always look for old school bars when I travel. This bar is one of the best I ever stopped into. Aggie today (has been here 13+ years) had homemade deviled eggs and pickled eggs with beets. Amazing! Literally one of the best bars I have ever been into during the day! Holler!!!“
