“I’m going to give the rating based on the real reason of our visit today: my son was craving a milkshake. I wanted to try local as well. I got the blueberry, he got the pina colada. Delicious milkshakes all the way around. They were thick and mine had whole blueberries in it. My son needed a spoon to eat his because it couldn’t come through his straw no matter how hard he sucked on the straw.

Now we did have a hot dog…and mine was over priced for what I got and the taste and expectation I had for it were average. What would have made the hot dog better? Bacon bits instead of the tiny wimpy pieces of bacon I got on top and liquid cheese of some sort vs a few pieces of thinly shredded cheese. It would have been nice to have a hot, hot dog vs just a steamed dog. The chili cheese dog had the same small pinch of cheese and the chili barely covered the dog. I’d come back for the ice cream and shakes but probably won’t grab food items outside of it.“

“I’m trying a new fast food joint every Saturday, and I’m glad a colleague told me about this one. Their famous chili dog was so good I had to order a second one, both washed down with their also delicious root beer float. I’ll definitely come back to try their orange Netty’s Freeze. Thank you!

“Handels is my favorite place to get ice cream HANDS DOWN! I've been on a mission the past 2 years exploring all the different places to get ice cream in the Toledo area and Handels has every other place beat by a long shot. I did try something new this time, which was a banana split hurricane. In my opinion it wasn't that good, but the chocolate banana shake with real banana added never fails me!!!! It's what I always get. Sometimes I like to mix it up a bit, butthe outcome is always the same. Nothing beats the chocolate banana shake! Very friendly staff as well.“

“The owner is the BEST!! We ordered a cake for a party and had to pick up at the Cold Stone in Maumee on 1/25 during the insane snow storm. They received our order and charged us, but when my dad went to pick up he found signs that said they were closed. My mom called this Cold Stone to see if they were open, and even though they weren’t, the owner came in just to make the cake for us. This was the best customer service we have ever experienced - will definitely be back!!“

“I regret moving so close to this ice cream shop! It's SO GOOD! All of the employees are great and work very hard. Today I was helped by an employee who appeared to be alone handling the ice cream.
