“Twisty Treat is a great, inexpensive, ice cream place. They have great ice cream provided by toft and food such as chicken items and hotdogs. You can get bottled water here, and there are picnic benches as well as a drive-through. No bathrooms are available, but it is wonderful, noneless. They also have weekly specials.“

“Locally owned and the owners are usually there working. All the products are very generously sized, but it is not cheap.
They have mostly soft serve ice cream. 2 or 3 flavors of hard scoop. They have lots of options for toppings for sundays and mix ins. They also have a few dole flavors.
Kids specials and a pup cup are available.
They are ONLY a drive thru with parking and outdoor seating available. The seating area is covered and nice. They work really hard to keep their property clean and nice. I wish the customers would take as much care.“

“Visited for the first time , love this location, lots of flavors and options to pick from they had strawberry and different flavor soft serve which is uncommon! Never seen any soft serve flavors besides vanilla and twist , friendly employees and very fast , will return !“

“Some of the best soft serve in town and that we’ve had in a long time! This was our first time here and everything was excellent. Will definitely be back again. I got a twist with sprinkles and hubby got the peanut butter cup sundae, all was delicious. Super great service and prices as well!“

“I used to manage a dine in restaurant, so I understand how frustrating it can be when the last-minute customers show up. They only add minimal overall sales while lowering your sales/hour and hurt your labor since you have to keep your staff there and paid which cost more than the profit gained usually..... so I am very happy that when my 80yo grandmother wanted 4 quarts of Dairy Queen ice cream because all the others upset her stomach at the last half hour that not only did she get it but the staff was friendly and you would never have known they were just ready to go home after a long shift. Thank you, this kind of service deserves recognition...“

“Handels is my favorite place to get ice cream HANDS DOWN! I've been on a mission the past 2 years exploring all the different places to get ice cream in the Toledo area and Handels has every other place beat by a long shot. I did try something new this time, which was a banana split hurricane. In my opinion it wasn't that good, but the chocolate banana shake with real banana added never fails me!!!! It's what I always get. Sometimes I like to mix it up a bit, butthe outcome is always the same. Nothing beats the chocolate banana shake! Very friendly staff as well.“

“Always have had a good experience. Tonight, the worker went above and beyond. My dad was on the line and started slipping into a diabetic issue. His sugar was low. I ran inside and told the worker. I didn’t get a name, but she didn’t hesitate. She got my dad some gummy worms, and didn’t even think twice. We had to rush home, cause the issue was getting worse, but she really helped out, and you’ve earned customers for life! Sorry we had to leave, but this is our ice cream place! Thanks you to whoever was working 5/17 night!! I really appreciate you, and we will be back!!! Btw always have had a 10/10 ice cream experience, tonight just cemented it!“

Vegetarian options: things aren’t directly labeled vegetarian but a huge part of their menu is just ice cream
Dietary restrictions: i’m not sure if there’s any vegan options since basically everything is either ice cream and hotdogs. since half of their menu is ice cream though there’s a lot of vegetarian options
Parking: parking is very easy to find and it’s free
Kid-friendliness: very kid friendly“

“I regret moving so close to this ice cream shop! It's SO GOOD! All of the employees are great and work very hard. Today I was helped by an employee who appeared to be alone handling the ice cream. Things ran so smoothly with him behind the counter! And it was busy. Please tip them well, they deserve it!“

“Solid Toledo classic. As I'm not from toledo, I'm fairly indifferent. Decent coneys with chili, onions, and mustard. My wife, who is from toledo, loves the cherry slush. Has that nice nostalgic hot dog stand feel, which is certainly a plus.“

“Nothing fancy. Fun music. Simple decor. Comfy seats. They send people to wipe the tables often.
Food is Yummy. The custard is good!!! Check the freezer in the lobby for pints of previous flavors of the day.
Cooked when you order so everything is fresh. Still quite fast. Workers are kind and polite.“

NONE compared to Pinky's Award winning rich creamy vanilla ice cream, the velvety thick swirling ribbons of tantalizing hot fudge married throughout, and topped with a heavenly crown of delicate frothy real whipped with a sprinkle of chopped walnuts and a red cherry on top to complete the irresistible tasty treat. Recently I visited Pinky's 4 days in a row after dinner to get my favorite Hot Fudge Sundae for dessert. It's really just that good! Give them a try. You'll thank me for it!“
