“This review is long overdue. I have been eating at this diner for years now. My absolute favorite restaurant and so happy they are family owned and right in our backyard. Always have great food, great service. I always eat here with my family and even take out my employees for lunch. My current favorite dish is the breakfast tacos and club sandwich for lunch.“
“Went with family, they’ve gone every month since they opened and brought us today. Food was amazing, atmosphere was nice, owner and other employees were beyond friendly. Food was so good that we ordered a pound of turkey to go! Highly recommend. BBQ sauce is fantastic. I had the brisket sandwich and would order it again. We had BBQ wings. There’s a full bar too. They also have happy hour specials.Parking: Parking is behind the building. Plenty of space and easy to access.“
“Perfect place for breakfast like mom used to make. They have all of your favorite breakfast foods here, along with plenty of hot coffee. They also have a decent lunch menu with the traditional offerings, all fresh and plentiful. During lent they have all you can eat fish with two sides of your choice ( fries, pierogi, MAC & cheese, coleslaw ) plus soup or salad on Wednesday and Friday for about $14.00. I've been in twice so far this season! What is best about this place is the great service. Everyone is friendly and the servers are attentive. It's a small, unassuming place that seems like family, one of Brook Parks best!“

His club sandwich was generous and fresh. The ladies behind the counter were warm, friendly and funny. “This is a nice, cozy little spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We came here for breakfast. They have a pretty good selection of breakfast fare. We had omlettes. They came with a choice of potatoes. We got the cubes, which were crispy outside and fluffy inside. The food came out very hot and tasted good on this rainy morning. The coffee kept coming without a lot of asking.The server was very pleasant and nice.I will definitely come back here again.Parking: Parking at a premium here. But you can park across the street.“
“The food was hot and ready and delicious within a reasonable time. The service was great Jillian and another girl took care of me. They were very inviting. The only problem was a guy was giving them a hard time, but they stay calm cool and collected. And continue to serve as nothing was bothering them. I believe the other girl name was Jen. “First off, it’s prudent to offer condolences to George on the passing of your wife. This news saddens all of us as loyal customers. That said, when you call a place a family restaurant, it usually simply means it’s owned and run independently by a family. Definitely the case here. In addition to that, we have become friends with many of the staff who work there. I cannot speak highly enough. The menu has tons of options. Everything is good, GREAT actually. My favorite dish is the Geotge’s Pasta Plate, rigatoni pasta with stir fry vegetables with either a tomato or white sauce (apparently not everyone’s favorite, but I love it).Parking: Parking can be a little tight during lunch peak. There is street parking and a public park on Trisket right next door/behind where the dumpsters are.“

“A small intimate space, Charlie's is the real deal. An authentic gem that still delivers a great diner experience, good breakfast food with cheerful service. The corn beef hash is simply excellent - maybe the best in years of diners. The eggs and sausage are standard fare delivered quickly and with a hugely friendly touch. Honestly, at the counter I felt like I had been coming for years, they were so nice. I'd come back anytime - and I think there are a few who do so every day. It is quirky and credible but it is also great, with plenty of parking and even if you have to take the highway briefly as we did from downtown... it was ten minutes and worth every moment of the drive - and that would be true if it was twice as far. Drive and pat yourself on the back for doing it right.“
“First and foremost cash only secondly food was middle of the road and yes I agree with some other people who have posted and said that it was a little bit pricey for they got which isn't exactly untrue based on what I got last time I was there which was the two pancakes two eggs with bacon. Which pancakes I thought were really good eggs could have been done a little bit better cuz I prefer over easy not over medium and the bacon was a little bit lacking in that it was a little bit too Chris and small pieces I guess I don't know. But the service was great and I thought the atmosphere was enjoyable for being a small place. I'd go back again maybe if I had some cash on me that I wanted to spend but otherwise maybe not.“
