“Shrimp & Pork Shumai $6 Spicy soy dipping sauce Shumai is a type of traditional Chinese dumpling. In Cantonese cuisine, it is usually served as a dim sum snack. In addition to accompanying the Chinese diaspora, a variation of shao mai also appears in Japan as and various southeast Asian countries Fried Rice w/ Shrimp $16 Carrots, corn, peas, edamame, basted egg Donburi is a Japanese "rice-bowl dish" consisting of fish, meat, vegetables or other ingredients simmered together and served over rice. Donburi meals are usually served in oversized rice bowls which are also called donburi. Tonkotsu $17 Rich pork bone with broccolini, shoyu egg, beni shoga, pork chashu, nori and local mushrooms, black garlic oil What is Chashu? Japanese have adapted the famous Chinese barbecued pork called Char Siu (叉燒) as chāshū (チャーシュー). Unlike the Chinese version which requires roasting over high heat, we prepare the meat by rolling it into a log and then braising it over low heat in a sauce seasoned with soy sauce, sake, and sugar.“

“This location was incredible. They were able to help me complete. A last-minute catering need for a large competitive cheer team. They were helpful in making sure I ordered enough food and completed the order quickly! Eiffel and Jasmina are the best! Thank you so much!“

“I found this place by accident, now I find myself there as often as I can be. This place is by far the best place for sushi and a big bowl of coconut curry ramen. Holy hell!!“

“OK I'm glad to see Koreans do the health thing up to a point. No MSG is fab. Is there hfcs? Kale makes me so sick. Yes I'm half Korean, that explains my fickle stomach. Why is there kale in the japchae? And bobimpap is no fun without the Korean side dishes put in the rice bowl- aka. banchan,반찬! Where's the: Seasoned spinach-Sigeumchi-namul 시금치나물 Yellow Radish- Danmuji 단무지 (WITHOUT THE HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!) Burdock root - ueong, 우엉 Stirfried Anchovies-Myeolchi bokkeum, 멸치볶음 Seaweed - Gim-김 Red snapper would work for a protein! Look at black garlic as a soy sauce sub for people with hypertensive issues. Trumpet mushrooms or enoki mushrooms? Lotus root? Water chestnuts? Marin usually has high fructose corn syrup and that's horrific for your health. By the way, Radish kimchi aka. Kkakdugi, 깍두기 is very well liked by non-Koreans and Koreans. You can make panjeon with red lentil batter instead of wheat flour. Rice paper is another good gluten free ingredient. Then you can serve us in house, seated on the floor sitting on cushions, shoes off on a low table in metal bowls, with metal spoons and chopstics and KTrot or soccer playing on a huge flat screen tv. KTrot, think Ms. Trot on Chosun TV, Golden Oldies on KBS, etc. You're making me homesick! Carpe Diem!“

“I've had 3 orders from this location. One I ordered online had no purple rice and it was a bare salad with some veges. I called no answer and corporate email never answers. I directly went to the store today and they graciously replaced it for free. Appreciate their staff.“

“This sushi shop at the food hall has got classic sushi rolls, poke bowls, and ramens. I finally tried their poke bowl. My server was amazing. A free bowl of water was given. Their poke bowl tasted great with high quality rice and fresh toppings. The temperature of rice could be colder. The yum yum sauce was flavorful. This store was more like an American sushi place.“

“First time trying this. I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and got a new dish, I tried the black pepper beef and it was absolutely fantastic. I ordered for pickup and it was ready within minutes. The owners are so very sweet and the price for a lunch portion was extremely reasonable. I will definitely be coming back soon“

“I have never had anything here that wasn't delicious. Mr. Kim is absolutely exceptional! He always remembers my son and is so kind to us every single time! He was pretty busy this evening but still made the time to say Happy birthday to my kiddo and the food was still top notch. As long as Mr. Kim is there, this will remain my favorite sushi spot. 🍣“

“I was put on a strict diet this week (no gluten, no soy, no dairy, etc.) so I came in not knowing what I could eat. The staff was super helpful in helping me decide my meal and the menu is super accommodating for allergies! 10/10 would recommend checking this place out :)“

“First time trying this place, and it was great. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the restaurant was clean. Everyone really enjoyed their food, and we had plenty of left overs. Fried rice was the best, and the wife liked her sweet and sour chicken. I got the chicken lo mein and is the best I've had. We will be back to this place. We may even make it a weekly visit. Too bad they don't have onion rings, I bet they would be awesome.
Parking: Alot of open parking, will not be a b issue.“

“We get the same thing everytime and it's always good! Sesame chicken, fried & white rice, and plain lo mein. I love that their lo mein doesn't have a fishy taste from a fish/oyster sauce.
We also always order take out and it's always ready on time. And they are fast to acknowledge you and get you your order and on your way.“

“WOW… House of Japan near Polaris Mall in Columbus, Ohio was absolutely packed for Mother’s Day, but they still had us seated in about 30 minutes which was impressive with how busy they were.
The hibachi experience was phenomenal. Watching the chef cook everything fresh right in front of us made it a fun experience instead of just dinner. I ordered the filet mignon cooked medium and it came out perfect. Great food, great atmosphere, generous portions, and the staff kept things moving smoothly even with the crowd.
If you’re in the Columbus area and want a fun dinner spot, House of Japan at Polaris is definitely worth checking out.“
