“Barr’s Public House is such a great spot! As a realtor, I love that it’s super convenient and close to several title companies—makes it an easy stop after work or between appointments. The shrimp taco is absolutely amazing (definitely my favorite on the menu). I went one time on a Wednesday and got to enjoy some live music, which made the atmosphere even better. Great food, great vibe, and a really nice place to relax. Sometimes a little slow on service but overall I highly recommend!“

“Food was excellent and came out quickly. Service not so great as our waitress barely checked on us and had to wait for a refill. The atmosphere was nice, except for the ugly picture if the Big Nut I had to see the whole time. The outdoor seating area looked nice too but was way too hot to sit outdoors that evening.“

“I came here a little over an hour before closing then was seated by the hostess, our waitress took our drink order then was inattentive for 35 minutes after me even waving her down multiple times but wouldn’t come to the table, I brought it up to the owner and kitchen staff out in the sushi making area, and they were right at my service, from there me, the owner and few employees even made some genuine conversation, and brought out the food very quickly, (which is always fantastic) when I was all finished the owner told us it was all free, I really hope the owner and staff knows that was the best customer service I have ever received, so a huge thank you to the owner and staff!“

“Good food. Sometimes a bit tough to make a take out order. They get busy. About 80% of the time I get what I asked for, exactly. But again, not a deal breaker. They fix things. Better then many others. Nothing really bad. But very good food.. especially chili.“

“This is a decent restaurant right off the strip in Sylvania. There is a large variety of various cheese melt sandwiches. The Milky Way Martini was absolutely delicious. The french fries were hot and crispy. The Onion rings we're borderline roached a couple were. The sandwiches are really good. Maybe a little bit pricey but at least it was fresh food.“

“A good friend of mine and I swung by after the Maumee Film Festival to end the evening. Its a good place to go to near uptown (especially if you don’t want to deal with the traffic/parking of uptown).

Ambiance reminded me of a bar near home, but this place was more delightful and spacious. They have a NICE pool table (free pool and Sundays and Mondays too!) The bartender who served us was good.

I ordered the Bourbon Pulled Pork (Under Doc Specialty). I was surprised to be honest, I didn’t expect the portion to be THIS big?! I had to use both hands- I used the fries to eat what dropped out. The sauce was better than the food truck we stopped at earlier in the day during intermission.
If you haven’t eaten much during the day and want something to pair well with a beer, this would be it!

“We were able to have some amazing Doc’s Rib Cage food at a party, and it was all hot and tasty! The staff was wonderful to work with, and the Mac and cheese, chicken chunks, and shredded pork were especially delicious! The portions were huge, so we got to have awesome leftovers too!“

The only drawback was that our waitress never cleared any dishes from our table or came back to ask if anyone needed refills. We were there, a party of over 20 for maybe 2 hours. “Each time I’m going to Black rock I like to sit at the bar the bar of Beth❤️ is amazing when she makes my favorite smoky old-fashioned. No other restaurant knows how to get it like Beth❤️ does at Black rock then the waiters all the other girls and guys continue to check on you to making sure that you are being intended to and taken care of and the chefs the way they are and grill salmon is incredible. Everything they make even just a salad is impeccable. Black rock is on my list of favorites. I get to go in there get on my laptop and charge it at the same time while charging my phone because they have USB plugs underneath the bar and I get to make my online bets while watching the flatscreen TVs over the bar looking at all the sports I recommend in Black rock“
