“I had your mead at ORF today and I need to find some to order. The cranberry-habanero was absolutely fantastic. The cardamom was also great, but that cranberry habanero is on a whole other level. Wonderful work.

Tried the two aforementioned and the french toast meads.

These are honey heavy meads, which are atypical in my experience for Ohio. The french toast one tasted a lot like pnacake syrup, not really my jam.

The cardamom was great - mild honey with a bold cardamom. I would love to try that with a spicy meal as I think it would pair wonderfully.

The cranberry habanero was slightly less sweet, and had not only a slight spiciness but also the gardeny-pepper quality of fresh chilis. This is a great mead and I'd gladly order from you if I could find a link to online.“

“If you're a michigan fan or ohio fan this place is welcoming to both. The food, especially the half soup half sandwich is enough to fill any appetite. I got the half Ruben half Chicken and Dumpling. The soul was a full portion and the sandwich was equally satisfying. The drinks are easy and quick, Amy was my server and wonderful to deal with. Can't wait to come back and give more business and money to this lovely location in charming downtown Maumee.“

“We ate at the Don Juan Mexican Bar & Grill - Maumee, 551 W Dussel Dr, Maumee, OH 43537 and had the best service I have had in a long time. Gina, our waitress, was very nice and offered to let me use her nail glue because my sandal broke. She helped me pick an amazing drink and made sure our party was happy with everything we got. It is nice to see people actually care about the people they are serving and not just the pay check they are getting. We will definitely be going back and hopefully Gina will be there with here bright smile!“

“Excellent food and server. We especially enjoy watching the ice waterfall melt over the lobster tank. This is one of the few restaurants in the area that offer Chilean sea bass which is one of my favorite and it was cooked to perfection. I also had the shrimp as an appetizer and it was large and crisp, not soggy. Only downside is the noise level.“

“Once again, a Texan up north trying to find some good que. This place has 4.7 stars and I was hoping for the best. Great atmosphere, playing BB King and the "Blues" when I walked in. I ordered the "personal sampler" with pulled chicken, ribs, smoked Polish sausage, brisket beans, Mac n cheese and cornbread. They did have sweet tea so gold star for them! The pulled chicken was interesting but tasty. The smoked Polish sausage was good but the ribs were tougher than an old lady's Chihuahua. There was no falling off the bone, hell I almost fell outta the chair trying to get the bone out! ? They were seasoned well just not loved on in the smoker long enough. Everyone in the joint was raving about that Mac n cheese & cornbread and bless their lil hearts. ? I think they all had "Helsinki Syndrome" (when you get held hostage for so long you start thinking like your captors ?) because the Mac n cheese was literally Kraft macaroni & cheese made with spiral noodles and the cornbread tasted like an unfrosted cupcake . (Super sweet) The brisket beans tasted like canned beans with no visible brisket in them BUT, they did have sweet tea! (even though the cornbread was sweeter than the tea ??) Being from Texas I may have a bias but even my ribs, mac n cheese and brisket beans too theirs and I'm just a Jr. Pit Master. 6 out of 10 and that because I'd never had "pulled chicken" and they had sweet tea. Service was great, food came out very fast and the atmosphere was decent. If I went back it'd be because they have sweet tea.. ??“

“The service let us down on this visit. We arrived for dinner at 7:30 p.m. It took longer than usual for our server to present herself, and then to bring our drinks to the table. I ordered the sharable Biscuit Beignets, and somehow, I think they got added to our order as Fried Okra. By the time I got them, they were for dessert! I'm not sure it was a misunderstanding or not, but my order for an unsweet tea was delivered as a sweet tea. That happens. No biggy. Yet, it took far too long for the replacement to be at my table. My wife asked for some additional ranch for her salad, and by the time it came out it was time to go. I have no complaints about the food. I love the Maple Bacon Chicken dinner. I love that plate! My wife had meatloaf, and all the food met our expectations. This restaurant has some issues in the service sector.“
