“The food was amazing! Service was a C. Slow - we were the only ones in there. I asked for our bill & the waiter brought a credit card machine. I said, where is my bill and he says if you don’t trust me, then I’ll print it out. He prints out my bill, but when I went to the register, it was a different amount. Make sure you take cash or they charge you an additional 3%.“

“We love having our store at City Goods. It is the perfect way to open a store without doing it all alone. Our store showcases the artwork of over 38 Ohio Artists. At City Goods, there are over 20 other local businesses so it's the perfect spot for some local shopping.“

“My husband and I are weekly regulars at a lot of cocktail bars and restaurants in the Cle/Akron areas because while we don’t live near anything good, we will travel for good cocktails and vegan food, lol. Pins & Needles is one of our favorite places to go! The décor and atmosphere is so fun and really well done for the 70s-era vibes and the cocktails on the menu reflect the times with old-fashioned era-appropriate classics and fun spins on classics that range from light and fruity to rich and boozy and we have actually had some of our favorite cocktails ever here! The menu rotates seasonally, but there’s always something for everyone. (Get the Midnight Cowboy for sure though, it’s one of the best).

It’s great that we can order food from upstairs too because Mahall’s has amazing vegan options and a regularly rotating menu as well. We also love chatting with all the mixologists here - they’re all very welcoming and personable and since we come here a lot we’ve gotten to know a lot of them, so shout out to Carl, Rosie, Connor, Michael, Autumn, and Eric upstairs!

We don’t really go to this venue (Mahall’s & Roxy) for concerts and prefer the low-key and often quieter atmosphere of Pins and Needles, though we’ve also taken big groups there since it can accommodate a lot of people and the space is great for both types of outings. We’ve also brought a lot of people here for their first time and they’ve loved the drinks and food too.“

“This bar has great potential. We went last December (2024) and absolutely LOVED the decor and atmosphere. It’s not a huge place but it’s clean and has a great vibe. The downside…overpriced and the food selections are skim. We ordered a turkey sandwich and it came with 1 slice of turkey on it. Hopefully they’ve worked out the kinks since then. Coffee alone is a strong flavor, so it stands to reason that strong flavors like black pepper and a good olive oil would work with it. The basil syrup is a nice sweet note, a little subtle for my taste, but we’re here to be bold, and this adventure is worth taking. The croissant, so perfectly buttery and crispy all at once is heaven paired with a pistachio butter and marmalade; a worthy accompaniment to that singular coffee.“

Because we are regulars there, Nick the manager bent the rules a wee bit to allow us to have the back area, near the bar for our party right at opening time on a Saturday. The service by wait staff Mary and Lauren was fabulous, every one of us LOVED our food and your hospitality was off the charts! “My friend and I went there last night for my birthday. The food was amazing!! Everything we ordered was just delicious. Meals were paced out perfectly in between. All the plates were a good portion for the shareable experience. We ordered first was the tuna crostini and the lamb hummus. Both by far amazing! The hummus was the best hummus I have ever had!! (Side note. The chef came over and told us that there is this wrap on HH during the week, we will def be back for it!) Second was the zucchini plate on top of a ricotta puree. Amazing! Not sure how he cooked it, but it was crisp and delightful! Then we had this fried Idaho potato! 🥔 literally the biggest potato I have ever seen. Topped with a feta, chives and creme fraise, sided with a homemade sriracha. Just yum!!! Then finally, aged and cooked to perfection, a hangar steak. 🥩 sliced for sharing with a salad on the side. It was amazing! The chef did a great job on presentations, food, and that steak is to die for! Also didn’t mention on yummy the cocktail menu is!!! 5/5 would visit again to try more items! I might even order that hummus tonight again for takeout! 🫶🫶🫶“

“Invited to brunch from my friends for the first time. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess. Once seated our bartender/ server, Darion K. readily welcomed us! He gave us the history of the restaurant, details on drinks and venue. Our food was served hot and with great presentation which was all prepared by an awesome chef! “Incredible meal from beginning to end, can't say enough good things. It was our second time dining at Rood and we will definitely be back. The octopus is an all time favorite and worth the trip alone, also enjoyed the mussels, I got the coffee rubbed filet and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had, finished with the chocolate pb banana gf pie - delicious!! Highly recommend to everyone I know and so many wonderful gluten free items which I greatly appreciate.“

“I tried this place for the first time and EVERYTHING was amazing!!! The decor when you walk in. I came on a Thursday and they have karaoke night ! I thought that was cool and I didn’t know this initially. I came for the restaurant/rooftop. We went upstairs and they had a good playlist of songs , the food was amazing !!!! Absolutely delicious. I order the fire roasted shrimp as appetizer and it was so good when the veggies !! Although it said fire it wasn’t hot at all. It was Made just right . I ordered the chicken and waffles as my entree . Chicken was cooked perfect and the hot honey syrup was good as well . We also order the BBW wings and fries which were good too. I tried the green apple slushy mixed with the peach one and added my choice of liquor ! Delicious!!! Our sever Tone was great ! I will definitely be back. It’s a LBGTQ restaurant and they have drag brunch on Sundays ! I’ll be going to check it out . I’ve always wanted to go to one and now I do ??“

“Wonderful experience with great service, always inquisitive and helpful. We had 5 different drinks and all were delicious. They are a little heavy on the liquor BUT that means it’s not watered out. The food however was lacklustre and overpriced. We will still go back but with on full stomach.“

If they ask you what cocktail you’d like a sidecar with, ask for a dry martini and pray for the best, then settle the tab. If, however, they pull a frosty flask from behind the bar, place it in a flask-shaped hollow in a book labeled “Holy Book” and hand you the book and a tumbler with a single cube and a perfect slice of blood orange, then you have found the right place. This is the right place. I can honestly say that this is the best Sidecar I’ve had the pleasure to imbibe. I only wish I didn’t have work in the morning and could have sampled more of their artistry.“

“As far as hotel bars go, this one was pretty good! Nice sitting areas both inside and outside. Free pool table inside too! Prices were good as far as hotel bars go. I think beers were four or five bucks. Only downfall was you were not allowed to bring drinks down from your hotel room. (Unless it was in a cup) That's probably a standard rule, but some places let it slide. Overall an excellent experience!“
