“I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief. I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!“

“very Very VERY SLOW service. I was in here on a Saturday around 6PM to pick up a Door Dash order of 2 small pizzas and an order of Jojos. I waited 25 minutes past the expected ready time, The pizzas were never even started until 5 minutes AFTER the time it was supposed to be picked up, I saw them being made. The food here is Great as long as you have an hour to wait for it.“

“I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking for a good authentic Thai food in town. I have tried some of the dishes and they’re amazing. “Our first time here. Reccomended by a friend. We had the fried mush and eggs with bacon, Irene's biscuit and sausage gravy which came with 2 sausage patties and potatoes, and a bowl of grits. The grits were authentic grits, sausage gravy had big chunks of sausage in it and they make their own mush. It was all very excellent and reminded us of Grandma's cooking. Well worth the drive. We plan to come back to come back since there's do many things to try.“

“Tried first time today, 5 star for good pizza but the mild buffalo and BBQ wings weren't good to me , I didn't know they broast the wings which makes for soft skin, I usually expect crispy chicken wings, I tried to crisp them a bit under the broiler but didn't really work out, im sorry to say the wings get 1 star“

“Decent food for the price most items are $20 or less. The food is not great here but it's not bad. Very passable. The salmon bowel was overcooked and dry, but the rice and Brussel sprouts were excellent. The wait for food to come out was really long, though, like it took well over 30 minutes. If you inly order the grinders, the food seems to come out much faster. The baked sweet potato was fine it is nothing special it is just a plain potato.“

“I always come to this Piada and it is always good. This time around I ordered cannoli chips but did not receive them in my online order. I called and the situation was rectified immediately. The staff and manager were SO nice and apologetic about the mishap. The rest of our order was PERFECT. We will definitely be back :)“

“Tried this place out for the first time today. Staff was super friendly and helpful and was very quick to take our order and make our food. Inside space is small but kept very clean and a nice atmosphere. They also have to go and a drive through. Menu was very well rounded and you could modify things easily. Will definitely be back often!“

“My first experience was like going into someone's home and being greeted and served by the parents. If I was entertaining a visitor to Akron, I'd want to take them here because they would leave Akron feeling like it was a hospitable place. “I like it. The unit is nice and it’s a plus because everyone has their own private room and bathroom. Management and office is great they respond in timely a manner & will help solve any problem if you contact them about it. I only rated 4 stars because unfortunately I was put in the same unit with people that don’t clean up after themselves. When I moved in the place was looking a mess and it isn’t management fault, but the people in the unit isn’t keeping up with the place.“

“Moved my daughter into school this past week and took a walk downtown to look around. Kent has done a great job cleaning up the area. We did stop here to eat lunch. Food was very good, everything seemed to be fresh. It does have a salsa bar where you can try different salsa's. Barbacoa soft tacos were great, lady next to me had fish tacos that smelled and looked delicious. Daughter had a burrito that was huge nd very tasteful. Very affordable and friendly staff. Also has a nice outside seating area. Totally recommend eating here if in town.“

“One of the few places a person can still get anchovies on their pizza, and also get a GOOD pizza. I don't usually care for chain restaurants or franchises because I shouldn't, but I dunno man, Marcos has done right by me in the past with their various pizzas and such. The Kent location deserves a bit of vital energy; give it a visit even if you just get some wings or something, round up a tip or donate a lil cash to charity. Just enjoy your dang pizza.“

“I go here alot with my youngest daughter, its our special treat. But I went today and the cashier seemed to be irritated as I was figuring out my order ,rolled her eyes and seemed like we were taking up her precious time. I will continue to come,but hope I don't have her as my cashier again. Very disrespectful.“

I would have given 5 stars, but we didn't get blue cheese sauce for the wings, and my wing order included only drumettes (no wingettes, which are my favorite). I ordered mild buffalo wings and they were tasty. Hubby ordered garlic parmesan and he said they were very good. The side salad was very fresh.

We ordered a small thin crust with pepperoni and green olives, and the cauliflower crust with pepperoni and mushrooms. Both crusts were crispy. Strangely cut into tiny pieces.

Two other comments:
1) the place was empty when we arrived at 6:30 p.m., so we were concerned that the food would be terrible (it was not).
2) the pizza had cornmeal on the bottom, which I don't care for (yes, I know why it's there, but the pizzeria I worked at in NY didn't use it, so it's not completely necessary).“

“I ordered soup and a grilled cheese to be delivered tonight, which I don’t often do delivery but I woke up feeling under the weather, my husband is out of town, and my car is in the shop so I have no vehicle. When my order was delivered, every other thing was perfect except I was missing my soup, which unfortunately meant that I couldn’t really enjoy the grilled cheese or bread bowl I received.
I called the store, the manager was very kind and apologetic (I wish I remembered his name so I could thank him more personally.) He offered either a refund or to send someone to deliver the missing item. At almost 6 pm I still hadn’t eaten today and was really looking forward to my meal so I just asked if they’d be able to bring me the missing soup.
I want to personally shout out WILLOW, the employee who brought my soup. They were kind, timely, wished me luck on feeling better, and even followed up a few minutes later to ensure the soup was left at the correct door. I was really disappointed when I received my meal without my soup but the team really did everything to go above and beyond to make it right, even upgrading the size of my soup without me asking. I’d give a 10/5 star rating if I could. And give Willow a bonus or raise, they deserve it!!“
