“Delicious, consistent pizza. They use a sweet pizza sauce and the cheese is always perfect. I'm not a fan of their sausage but that's ok. Also their bread sticks without cheese are craveable!Parking: The location is downtown Newark. Depending on whether there is a show at the Midland or not you may be walking a few blocks to get to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is super friendly and clean with a table of simple kid toys as well.“
“Three generations of my family and just as many on my wife's side have been eating pizza here. My Dad went to school with a lot of the folks who run this place and my wife's grandparents got a massive pizza order every Friday for decades. This pizza is good feelings, great memories, and tradition for me. It's fantastic pizza as well with a completely unique crust. If you're looking for one of the absolute best pizza places in Newark, you'll be hard pressed to find something better than Louie's. I love this place and hope it never changes.“

“Terrible service. Our waitress had 2 tables of customers. I ordered the soup salad and breadsticks. When I asked for a refill for my unsweetened ice tea when she finally returned to the table she said she couldn't find the pitcher of it. 20 minutes later I said could you bring me something to drink. I had ordered extra salad dressing on the side. Never got it. Ordered 2nd soup. Never got it. She came to the table and said how is everything? I told her that it is Terrible and unacceptable. So she had the manager bring me soup. I ask him "what is this " I told him that's not what I ordered. He said "Well that is my wife's favorite. No I'm not his wife. Usually I enjoy going there. NO MORE. It wasn't a busy night either. Several other things happened to our table that night. We only had 4 of us. Sorry one bad experience, Manager and waitress.“

“This place has a few changes since working there 17+ years ago. The food is still good with a few menu additions. The place was clean and the service was friendly. The only thing they should bring back is the bread stick concierge. Now I feel shamed walking up for more. “Amy, our server did an excellent job, efficient and friendly. I had their whole 4 topping built your own pizza. Great taste with plenty of toppings requested. I'll get it again it was that good! My wife had their Penne Shrimp and Scallop dish with a cream sauce, she loved it. Big portions on both dishes, enough for a leftover meal at home.“
