“If I could give them even more stars, I would!! The owner, Mike himself, took care of us while we were there and he was amazing! So kind and kept us smiling during our entire meal! He was so sweet with my 18 month old daughter, even giving her some suckers and a gift certificate for next time. Not only was the service top notch, but the food was to die for! We got specialty burgers and my daughter got chicken tenders, all of which were made fresh and perfectly cooked/seasoned! I can’t recommend this place enough. Already can’t wait to visit again!!“

“It had been many years since we had been to the Root Beer Stand so it was high time to come back. It had grown a fair amount since our last visit which was great to see. The place was really busy but they really are streamlined well and there was not a long wait time. There is a bit of indoor seating but a vast majority of the seating is at picnic tables outside around the area. Everything looked great all around the grounds although you must remember you are outside and there are a fair amount of bees around so beware of that. I had a footlong chili dog and fries which were excellent especially the chili dog. Also had to have a root beer float which was legendary as usual as their locally sourced root beer really is delicious. This is definitely an awesome place to go on a summer day for sure and it gets my highest recommendation.“

“Grabbed a dog on the way to the Reds game yesterday. I ordered a Norway, and man I wasn't disappointed.

The hot dogs are robust and have a really good flavor. The toppings were delicious and were of generous portions. This hot dog was massive. I didn't realize why they offered me a fork, knife, and napkins until after I received it.

It's pricey, but honestly, it isn't a bad value when take into account how big it is. For the $10 I paid, I'm more than satisfied.

My only issue is it took a while to make. Not sure why, but it was roughly 10-15 mins for them to make my Norway dog. Thankfully the game was delayed a bit due to weather. But otherwise, I would have missed the first inning.

But other than that, this was a great experience.

Will I be back? No doubt.“

“I work over at the 513 wash across the street and I come here on my breaks sometimes, been doin that since November. This place has always been really friendly, peaceful, quiet, and the food is so good. I love my usual server, Amy, she's awesome. “I get my salad every week at Lucky Dog, Murphy my dog is always welcome, they are good people. everything in my salad is always fresh and reasonably priced. The salads have a-lot of filling protein and flavor. If you eat downtown regularly you know a fresh salad with enough filling protein is hard to find for $7. Lucky Dog makes my everyday work life bearable. Also they sell the biggest fountain drink for the lowest price. and cheesecake. 🏆😉They have my loyalty“

“I order from this skyline a lot and not only are my orders always right and yummy, the staff is also super sweet! When I opened my food this evening someone had included a bit of candy with my cheese and it almost made me cry, it was so sweet and kind and made my whole night so much better! “This is a weirdly placed location. Not only is signage missing from one part of the building making me almost think they weren't in business anymore, but they're tucked behind two other buildings.

This ultimately means you just kinda have to... Know this location exists?

Aside from that, food was good, service was fine. Seems the employees forgot about me for a moment despite being a bit slow but the manager promptly offered a drink as an apology.

Truth be told I wasn't even mad, I honestly hadn't been there that long at all. Only 5 minutes or so. I'd say great service though considering they acknowledged it and tried to make it right even though I was perfectly fine.“

“Skyline Chili is my favorite restaurant. My wife and I spent a few days sightseeing in Cincinnati. She has never been to Cincy. She has never had Skyline Chili. I told here that you haven't been Cincy until you have their chili. I ordered us Cheese Coney dogs & a 5-way chili. She loved it. Our server was the best. She treated my wife like royalty. “First time experiencing Cincinnati Chili as somebody who doesn't actually like most chili, and I was not disappointed.

The food was great (4-way with onions slaps) and you HAVE to try the chili spice ice cream topped with oyster crackers. This ice cream is the perfect blend of sweet and savory.

But what really made my lunch so special was the service. Rita, our server, was an absolute sweetheart. She leans into the family-friendly vibe of this location and provides customized service for each table.

All-in-all, this is a local chain, but the Newport location seems to embody a family-friendly, midwestern spirit that I would recommend.“

“I'm giving this a 4 because I feel a little conflicted about this chili. I only visited this restaurant because my son insisted on trying it. I grew up in the south and for us chili was a hot hearty bowl of beans and beef not chili sauce with a little beef and spaghetti. So of course I can't say I enjoyed it very much but my son did so I split the baby and gave it a 4 star. The service in the drive thru was faster than most fast foods and the lady at the window was helpful and smiling. What more could you ask for. So while this chili was "not my cup of tea" the food was hot and my family enjoyed it.
