The Funky Truckeria Reviews
First time here and all I can say is I’ve never left a food review somewhere. Absolutely amazing. I have so many words and so few at the same time. Ali(? Spelling sorry) was incredibly nice, extremely friendly and super helpful. She recommended 3 diffeeent tacos for myself - 3/3 - nailed it. All of them were incredible! I’ll have to update the review to remember which ones they were specifically. My girlfriend got the birria tacos and I ended up finishing what she couldn’t...read full review
Quality of the food is not consistent. Sometimes it’s fantastic and sometimes it is terrible. This time I got 2 tequila lime chicken tacos and the cheese they sprinkle on top is rotten; it smells sour and tastes too so it’s 100% spoiled. I tried calling 4 times and then got thru to be put on hold for over 5 minutes, so I hung up. I won’t be going back due to inconsistency many many times and very poor customer service.
I am very disappointed with my fried burrito. usually they are very good but my last one was awful. I tried the chicken this time. it was bad. it had no flavor. the burrito was 99% rice. it had no cheese and very little chicken that was terrible anyways. probably will not be back because very costly to take that chance again.

The Funky Truckeria is a small taco joint in Norton Plaza with indoor and outdoor seating options. Known for its authentic Mexican food and birria, it is considered the best place around by many visitors. The restaurant offers a large selection of tacos, including popular options like Thai chicken and Korean pork belly, all made to order with fresh ingredients. Tacos cost between $5 and $6.50, and burritos are also available in large portions. Customers praise the friendly and respectful staff, including Michelle, who is noted for her kindness and excellent service. Many reviews highlight the fantastic BIG BIRRIA burrito and the amazing consume that comes with it. The restaurant is clean, wheelchair accessible, and has a big parking lot, making it easy to find a spot. They also operate a food truck for events. While the inside music can be loud, especially during lunch hours, the quick service and reasonable prices make it a reliable spot for tasty street tacos. Many recommend it for any day, especially on Taco Tuesday, and agree that the wait is worth it due to the great food and service.
