“This place is so good it's genuinely hard to find a place to start.... Livy's customer service was phenomenal. Livy's playlist was bumpin', it was nice to see positive attitudes in the staff. AND THE FOOD!!!!! It's absolutely insane. I went in expecting greasy bar food. That's simply not the case. You taste the quality with every bite. “New to Oxford and this is a spot I'll be visiting frequently... Great selection of sandwiches and other pub favorites. Loved the Italian beef even though it was a bit soggy. Waffle fries are amazing. Super crispy and flavorful... Prices aren't bad either. Great spot for game day or just a hang with friends.“
“My friends and I come here to get dinner often because the atmosphere is great. The service is very hands-off but friendly--I think this is a good thing, though. No one pressures anyone to pick something off the menu quickly and we can eat at our own pace. It’s nice being able to just order when you want. Also, the menu is extensive. I recommend supporting the Hitching Post.“
“Church St Social is a really cute, casual spot to get food and drinks. The atmosphere is wholesome with all of the books on the walls and board games available to play. They also have good seasonal drink specials(especially during Christmas time) and AMAZING appetizers. Their buffalo chicken dip and loaded fries never disappoint. Church st is also a great place for club events, rentals, and of course Tuesday night trivia!“
“I go to this marvelous restaurant many times because I like the ambiance that is part of this restaurant. The team is exceptionally friendly and skilfull. The service is extraordinarily fast. Needless to say, the food they prepare is outstanding. I have been there often and I was always pleased. The rate is decent. I recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.“
“The weirdest thing is that it is unmarked. If it was not pointed out to me by a frequent member, I would not know that it exist at all. I have been there two times at the time of writing this review and both times they had a full bar and they made every cocktail we ordered. Just an FYI, the White Russian had too much dairy in it -- to the point that it was just milk -- a nice health drink. The bartender(s) are really nice and have people skills that set them apart. They have dart ? board but you have to bring your own darts.The place is not frequent by undergraduates/young people, which makes it a best place for people who want a quiet place to hangout with friends over a drink or older people for same purpose.“
“The blue cheese burger was good. The truffle fries were very good. Service was minimal - probably short staffed. Atmosphere was ok. It's a typical bar with lots of TVs, so very echo-y and at times hard to have a conversation. It is in a nice location to explore downtown.“
“Excellent fried chicken sandwich, onion rings and cod (Limpet) dinner. Service was great as well! I took one star because I can't eat spicy/black peppery food and beyond that they change the menu constantly so you can't plan ahead if you have dietary considerations. The two menu options I chose ahead from the online menu (half chicken and prime rib) were either unavailable or pre-peppered. However our server worked hard to help us.“
“Our family of 10 received excellent service from Alexis. They were out of some of our beer requests, but substitutions were made and all was wonderful. The Sunday prime rib special was superb. Great value, terrific service and fun German atmosphere. Coming from Cleveland, Augusta GA, San Diego and Columbus our eclipse trip to Oxford was simply outstanding.“
