“This place is so good it's genuinely hard to find a place to start.... Livy's customer service was phenomenal. Livy's playlist was bumpin', it was nice to see positive attitudes in the staff. AND THE FOOD!!!!! It's absolutely insane. I went in expecting greasy bar food. That's simply not the case. You taste the quality with every bite. This is a literal hidden gem that you should go experience for yourself. Thanks Livy!!!!!“

“New to Oxford and this is a spot I'll be visiting frequently... Great selection of sandwiches and other pub favorites. Loved the Italian beef even though it was a bit soggy. Waffle fries are amazing. Super crispy and flavorful... Prices aren't bad either. Great spot for game day or just a hang with friends.“

“Got there in time for the lunch special. Got the burger (w2patties) and fries. XLNT for the price. We had a large group and Christina was great. This would have been a 5 star had I not visited the bathroom. UGH....just a nasty mess..We were there early afternoon...Leads me to think it was never cleaned from the night before.“

The Wood's Sports Bars • $
17 N Poplar St, Oxford

“DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a freshman. There is no better bar in Oxford! The non-freshman students like me will rant and rave about Brick Street Bar and Grill, but The Woods, aka "New Bar", is a real diamond in the rough. Their drinks are made with top shelf liquor like Ketel One or Bacardi and still don't cost much. The atmosphere is that of any top-tier night club in Los Angeles or New York (I am not a freshman and am a frequent clubber so I'd know), and the staff is so nice! When I was a freshman (I'm not anymore, I'm very much of age), everyone would wait in line for hours to get into The Woods just for its aura even though we couldn't drink because we were freshman (again, I am not a freshman now). All around great bar. I'm not a freshman.“

“Great structure with fun spots to people watch but they did a terrible job of placing bars and traffic flow was poorly thought through, IMO. Therefore, many bottle necks and over crowding and you can wait a long time for cocktails. $100k on a good flow analysis would have paid them 4 fold per year. Still, a must visit when in Oxford.“
