“Wow, this place was amazing! I found this place close to my hotel and I couldn't be happier. The strudel was on a different level. I stopped in early and think I may have been her first customer. She was so nice and welcoming! It was co to see her and her mother working on the pastries and her son was helping out too. Obviously an amazing family business. After showing me her process, I decided to go with a half apple and a half cheese. She warned me not to close the box as it just came out of the box and it would soften the flaky layers. I did exactly as told and ate on the strudel for 3 days. Eating strudel warm and fresh out of the oven was a religious experience. So flaky and light. Both flavors were outstanding! I absolutely enjoyed my strudel along with my visit. This place is highly recommended!“

“Hands down my new favorite bakery, plus everything is vegan! (but you’d never know when eating it). I’ve never had a bad experience here - the service is always prompt and personable, the treats are delicious and their cupcake/cake designs are the cutest around!As someone who has sensitivities to dairy, it’s awesome to have dairy-free desserts that are just as good, if not better, than their alternatives. My partner and I stop here whenever we get a chance. They are only (usually) open Friday-Sunday, so plan accordingly, but you won’t regret stopping in.“

“The cake was gorgeous and perfect looking! I had a specific design that they perfected and I could not have asked for a better looking cake! The service was also amazing! The lady I was working with was so sweet and kind, I really wanted to love the cake. Unfortunately the cake did not taste good. It was dry and hard on the bottom layer. I also paid extra for cassata flavor and there were barely any strawberries or custard inside. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a cake ($145) but also the worst tasting cake I’ve ever had. It was really disappointing since it was very expensive and looked so amazing but it was very important that the design on the cake was perfect and a lot of bakeries told me they couldn’t do the design idea -so I just accepted it. Ultimately I would give them another chance, they have great reviews and good service, but it just wasn’t a great tasting cake for my family gathering.“

“Ordered donuts for an event and picked them up this morning and they are fantastic. The dough is so soft and light and while you can smell the sugar the taste is just perfect and it isn't too overpowering. They have perfected the donut.“

“I love this hidden gem on the southern border of Strongsville. It is cash or check only but that helps them keep their prices very reasonable. I had the weinerschnitzel sandwich with the cabbage & noodles on the side with coleslaw. See the picture of the schnitzel, it was huge!“

“I have been looking for a dobos torte bakery since the bakery I used to get it from closed. I have tried a couple of other bakeries and did not care for their version. However, I want to compliment Farkas Pastry Shop for their Dobos Torte. I ordered it last week and he said it would be ready Wednesday (today) even though they wouldn’t be open to the public , he would let me come anytime between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. to pick it up. After picking it up, it looked great and then after lunch, I had a piece of it and it was delicious. I will definitely order it again. As a matter of fact, I am going to visit my sister in Arizona so I plan on ordering 3 more. One for us to keep in freezer at home and two (one for her and one for her son)who loves dobos torte as well. I definitely want to compliment the guys at Farkas for being so accommodating and for making a great torte. Looking forward to trying some of their other bakery on my next visit when they are open and have other items in their display. Thank you. So glad I found you.“

“Best shaved ice I've ever had in my life. The buns are all soft and fluffy and comforting. I had the egg and turkey buns, the green onion bun and the mango tart, while taking a few bites of my friend's taiwanese shaved ice. I've been back a good probably 8 or so times since I began writing this review a couple months ago, and I can't stay away. Every time I go I grab a handful of warm, chewy buns and the taiwanese shaved ice with mango, strawberry, and mango jelly. The service is always quick, even when there is the occasional line to the door, and the buns are self service so you can just grab as many as you'd like and check out! I can not possibly recommend the shaved ice enough, in my opinion it easily beats out ice cream as the most refreshing summer snack.“

“I drove 45 minutes just to come here for a handful of their stuffed croissants. Grew up in Lakewood and always loved this place. It’s such a treat to see they haven’t changed. They still treat you like family and put a smile on my face, plus, the croissants are just as delicious as always!“

“I last came to Larder years ago back in 2018 or so and getting the Tuesday lunch special - $5 Chicken Sandwiches. I remember it being the best fried chicken sandwich I had ever had in my life - huge juicy thigh meat covered in a crunchy doubled fried exterior. Since then, Larder has been winning awards left and right. Since we were visiting Cleveland, I was so excited to visit Larder again and get their delicious sandwich. Unfortunately we came on a bad day - the previous night, a severe thunderstorm had knocked out the fryer and vents and Larder had to remove all of their fried items from the menu. They also were having oven troubles, so they ended up opening 30 minutes late. We got there over 30 minutes before they opened and a line of people started forming already. Pastrami Reuben ($18) - This is not your typical pastrami; this is thick, 1 cm cut savory salty pastrami, cut kind of like corned beef. The bark is still attached which is soft in some portions but crisp in others. ??? skome flavor??The meat is super tender and easy to eat. There's a thin layer of flavorful fat in some areas. There's cabbage slaw added on the bottom which adds a nice tang to balance out the fatty and meat of the pastrami. Thousand island spread on the top and bottom slices of bread adds additional moisture and sweetness. Everything is placed in the middle of two perfectly toasted slices of rye. Babka ($9) - Absolutely chock full of chocolate, the bread is pretty dense and rich. Pieces of crumbs easily flake off when you're eating this. There's some cinnamon mixed with the chocolate. If I'm ever back in town, I would get the chicken sandwich for the nostalgia.“

“We went for breakfast pastries and were almost overwhelmed with the delicious looking options. Luckily for us everything we got was exceptional, I don’t think you can make a wrong choice. After much deliberation the highlight for us was the sausage and cheese croissant! Definitely stop here, we will be back next time we’re in town!“

“Those tables in the front make it hard to be in line. To see the products. The poppyseed roll was awesome but because in the front on a table the icing melted. So it was a little dryer on top I feel. But inside was awesome flavor. Hubby wish they had apple fritters “

I never knew this place was there until I was literally sittin in front of it coming from hnrblock right next door and you know what I'm so glad I did because the food and service was amazing. “I've been here 3 or 4 times. The environment is relaxing, service is fast but not friendly. Not rude just not friendly. I always get the bonbon crepe. Soooo good. I highly recommend. The savory crepes we have tried have all been good as well. The French toast crepe is just too soggy. Maybe serve the syrup on the side. The coffees have all been weak. Mostly filled with froth. Very little coffee but still ok. Overall I would recommend this place but there is some room for improvement.“

“I've wanted to go to Rudy's since we moved here 2 years ago - finally made it. They had plenty of parking, though inside felt kinda tight.I didn't see any strudel, just Paczkis. Maybe it was because it was a week before their Paczki event. I don't know what I was thinking, they were packed (with lots of Pudding). It was a bit much for me/us. * I think if they made Minis or Paczkis Poppers they'd be Perfect!!I'm going to have to go back and give this place a second try, seems I missed a lot ~ I'll post again, and more pictures!“

“The food was good, so why give five stars you ask? Because, look at my photo - the tacos cost $4 instead of the $3 I pay at most places, but you get an incredible amount of steak!!! They FILL your tacos with steak. And the other reason is the condiments bar - you put what you want! From onions, cilantro and tasty salsa to guacamole and cream, plus, all the pickled jalapeños you want!If you like steak tacos, then this is a "must try" destination.It's located inside of a Mexican grocery store.Staff is friendly, service is FAST!No complaints really.“

The waffles were fluffy and moist. My fiancé had the Mississippi Catfish and it just melts in your mouth. The bartender there made our drink perfectly. We felt welcomed it was a great vibe.
