“Chey is an amazing server. She anticipated drink refills before we even realized it ourselves. We moved to Cleveland in August and my husband and I don’t go out to eat a lot—but this is our third time back to Heck’s and our second time being served by Chey. (She even remembered us from months ago!) We brought my mom to try Heck’s and she ALSO commented multiple times on how great of a server Chey is— she’s quick, funny, confident, and truly kind. I’d suggest a little baking soda to crisp them up. Baking soda alkalizes the water. It breaks down the pectin in the potato and brings the natural starches up to the surface. Making it extra crispy! “The place is cozy and flamboyantly decorated, although the Statue of Liberty they have in the entryway is holding a cheeseburger instead of a torch, which is historically inaccurate, but I'll let that slide since the seats were comfy. The waiter had a pleasant demeanor, though he kept eyeing up my mason jar of wasps, even after I explained I couldn't keep them in the car with how cold it was. I ordered the western burger, medium rare, swap out the buns for more onion straws, and an extra rare beef patty on the side (for the wasps) and onion rings and a cherry coke. He asked if I would like to try the burnt tips, and I told him that anything burnt would have to be sent back. After the food was brought out the waiter never came back, and after looking for a moment I saw him outside holding a cam of Raid. Not sure what the break policy is here but it would have been nice to be offered a cheesecake or something. The chicken was crisp on the outside with juicy lean chicken.I usually get the “chicken ick” and never finish or pick at my chicken. But the chicken was so lean and clean, i finished my whole meal. I accompanied my tenders with their Ranch. It was not your typical ranch, it had other spices added that really made the meal unique.My mother got a Burger + Fry + Drink Basket with a Single Cheeseburger, She said it was packed with juicy flavour and a soft fresh bun. The pickles are thick cut and fresh.We shared an order of their Onion Ring Basket, They are Giant, thick cut onion rings with a tasteful crunch.
