“My server was Dan, he was very friendly and nice! I got a chicken sandwich and it was hot and delicious! The fries were crispy and hot! The overall restaurant was clean and very inviting! The manager was helpful also! I will definitely be back!“
“First and foremost cash only secondly food was middle of the road and yes I agree with some other people who have posted and said that it was a little bit pricey for they got which isn't exactly untrue based on what I got last time I was there which was the two pancakes two eggs with bacon. Which pancakes I thought were really good eggs could have been done a little bit better cuz I prefer over easy not over medium and the bacon was a little bit lacking in that it was a little bit too Chris and small pieces I guess I don't know. But the service was great and I thought the atmosphere was enjoyable for being a small place. I'd go back again maybe if I had some cash on me that I wanted to spend but otherwise maybe not.“
“The presentation of the food was awesome, visually appealing. Only shortcoming was the lack of seasoning of the food or lack there of. My eggs were cooked a little softer than to my liking. Medium to me means soft yolk and cook whites. Unfortunately part of the whites were runny.“
“Came for a birthday party and can't say I'd be back. There were several problems. First off, I waited 40 minutes for a coke. Seems like everyone else got their alcohol though which also had a very long wait. The server Cici was awful to say the least. She couldn't get anything right. My husband ordered the rib dinner and i had the two meats and two sides (brisket and ribs). The ribs were very good, I would definitely order them again if I ever came back. But the brisket was absolutely awful. The toughest, driest piece of meat I've ever bitten, tasteless with no bark whatsoever. They were out of rib tips which I was honestly disappointed about but the ribs were bomb. They were moist yet tender cooked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese *and believe me I don't eat everybody's* was really really good. The greens had too much vinegar but were still enjoyable. The baked beans (Fire whoever made them immediately) literally took a can of bushes and added green peppers and onion. I ordered my 2 year old a smoked wing appetizer and some fries. WE GOT MY 2 YEAR OLDS FOOD AS WE WERE PACKING UP OURS, He literally ate my whole plate because he had no food. I ordered the garlic parm on the side and of course when they brought his wings it was covered in garlic parm. The fries were so full of salt they weren't edible but I got over that quickly. Still being very very generous I told the waitress I would be paying for my friend for his birthday. She didn't just charge my card for my best friends meal, but for everyone else at the table almost 300$. How do you make that kind of mistake. I believe it was intentional. After that I just ran out of there. The service however bad, still didn't overshadow that the food was really good. I just wouldn't order the brisket agian and definitely tell them no salt on your fries“
“Perfect place for breakfast like mom used to make. They have all of your favorite breakfast foods here, along with plenty of hot coffee. They also have a decent lunch menu with the traditional offerings, all fresh and plentiful. During lent they have all you can eat fish with two sides of your choice ( fries, pierogi, MAC & cheese, coleslaw ) plus soup or salad on Wednesday and Friday for about $14.00. I've been in twice so far this season! What is best about this place is the great service. Everyone is friendly and the servers are attentive. It's a small, unassuming place that seems like family, one of Brook Parks best!“
“Awesome neighborhood spot with local regulars, hand-made signs, daily specials and great service. The cheese steak was melt-in-my-mouth cheesy delicious, best I ever had. His club sandwich was generous and fresh. The ladies behind the counter were warm, friendly and funny. We were traveling through but have promised to make this a tradition if/when we are back in downtown Cleveland.“

“What can I say it was simply phenomenal I freaking loved it I end up getting the classic combo with the pancakes mix berries and I end up getting the City Diner Burger and it was so good I really enjoyed it so much the fries were awesome with the burger oh man I haven't had fries like that and a long time also the cook he did the most excellent job cooking the food and the waitress was simply very attentive always came for my coffee asked me if I needed anything else not to mention she was very easy on the eyes her name is Vera and she is very beautiful and a very very excellent waitress...“
“This is a great breakfast and lunch joint. I sometimes go here with my spouse for Sunday breakfast after church. they have great omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, and wrap, along with good pancakes and French toast for those who have a sweet tooth. I’ve only gone for lunch once and had the gyro which was as good as the gyros my yia-yia made when I was a youth. They also have great coffee.The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Once I accidentally spilled coffee on my hand. the server promptly cleaned it up and gave me a replacement, while refusing to admit fault. This was wise in case I wanted to pursue legal action.“
“The food was hot and ready and delicious within a reasonable time. The service was great Jillian and another girl took care of me. They were very inviting. The only problem was a guy was giving them a hard time, but they stay calm cool and collected. And continue to serve as nothing was bothering them. I believe the other girl name was Jen. “First off, it’s prudent to offer condolences to George on the passing of your wife. This news saddens all of us as loyal customers. That said, when you call a place a family restaurant, it usually simply means it’s owned and run independently by a family. Definitely the case here. In addition to that, we have become friends with many of the staff who work there. I cannot speak highly enough. The menu has tons of options. Everything is good, GREAT actually. My favorite dish is the Geotge’s Pasta Plate, rigatoni pasta with stir fry vegetables with either a tomato or white sauce (apparently not everyone’s favorite, but I love it).Parking: Parking can be a little tight during lunch peak. There is street parking and a public park on Trisket right next door/behind where the dumpsters are.“

“A small intimate space, Charlie's is the real deal. An authentic gem that still delivers a great diner experience, good breakfast food with cheerful service. The corn beef hash is simply excellent - maybe the best in years of diners. The eggs and sausage are standard fare delivered quickly and with a hugely friendly touch. Honestly, at the counter I felt like I had been coming for years, they were so nice. I'd come back anytime - and I think there are a few who do so every day. It is quirky and credible but it is also great, with plenty of parking and even if you have to take the highway briefly as we did from downtown... it was ten minutes and worth every moment of the drive - and that would be true if it was twice as far. Drive and pat yourself on the back for doing it right.“
“Always an amazing experience every time I’m here. Whether it’s for breakfast or dinner, it’s always such a great experience. My mother and I went here for dinner and it was perfect. I got a chicken sandwich with spinach, cheese, and bacon on it (I forgot the name) and it was so delicious. It came with a side of chips that were really good, and I topped it off with an extra side of bacon. I got some cake to go and it was just great. “You can't beat Mom's! We found this place via google maps as we were passing through the area. We got there early, the place was relatively quiet.We were seated right away. They have a number of specials and breakfast combos. The food came out hot and the portions were large.The service was good. There is also a ton of parking and it is easily accessible from the major roads.“
“This review is long overdue. I have been eating at this diner for years now. My absolute favorite restaurant and so happy they are family owned and right in our backyard. Always have great food, great service. I always eat here with my family and even take out my employees for lunch. My current favorite dish is the breakfast tacos and club sandwich for lunch.“
