“🌿 Hillgarten Brewery – Hilliard’s Hidden Gem 🌿7.6 out of 10! What a beautiful surprise tucked away in Hilliard! Hillgarten’s expansive outdoor space was hands down the highlight of the night. With wide-open seating, tree-covered areas, and cozy hanging lights, the vibe was equal parts romantic and relaxed. 💫 The beer selection? Exactly what you want in a neighborhood brewery—a perfect variety of drinkable, staple brews that suit all tastes. On a hot summer evening though, I would’ve loved to see a frosted glass option—the beer warmed up a little too fast for my liking. We ordered the giant pretzel, which definitely delivered on size! The beer cheese was decent, but we were hoping for a bit more creativity or a “mystery dip” option to spice it up. Also… just give us one good cup of cheese with it instead of making everyone upgrade for a second portion. Small thing, but it stood out. As the sun set, the whole place started to feel like something out of a movie. Couples celebrating engagements, friends laughing over cornhole in the corner, and a casual, easy energy. The only thing missing? Some live music, especially for a Saturday night. 🎶 We found ourselves lost in conversation… time honestly stood still. It felt both lively and private, which is a rare combo these days. If I had one other piece of feedback, it’d be for a slightly bigger food menu and maybe a kiddo cut-off time around 7 PM, just so the evening crowd can fully settle into adult mode. “I went to Genes for dinner with two friends yesterday and it was an evening of absolute bliss and perfection. The restaurant itself is incredibly cute and cozy, picturesque at every angle. The service and hospitality was impeccable- likely the best I’ve ever experienced. Our server, Stev, was on point with every recommendation. He provided seamless service and was very kind the whole evening. The General Manager, Michael, was the most hospitable and kind host all evening. I can’t think of even one thing that could have made the evening better. I’ll be raving about this dinner for a long long time and will definitely be back!“

“Just had their newest addition to the high quality menu. The generous portion could easily be a shareable for two or a great lunch tomorrow. Extremely tasty with the right balance of crumbles and b’fflo sauce. Great w/seasoned fries or house chips. Make sure to have a pint of the Kroenburg 1664 pints to wash it down. Oh and BTW, it’s a great deal. Won’t disappoint your palllet or your wallet! Enjoy.“

“You gotta get there early if you're going to park at the 6th tee entrance; it fills up fast. If it is full, go south about a block and there's generally a guy sitting there with his daughter in a golf cart. He has about 10 spots in front of his house down the street, that he charges $20 for. Great guy and he'll run you back to the road in his cart if he can.“

“5/5 Stars Firebirds in Polaris is such a cozy local spot right close to home! I got the fish tacos, and both the fish and the salsa were remarkably fresh. The seasoned mushrooms were also a healthful addition to my meal. To top it off, the hand-squeezed lemonade was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, professional, and attentive from start to finish. Highly recommend—we'll definitely be back!“
