“Took my son to the ER in Reynoldsburg. Left at 5 a.m. . We are both hungry sooo McDonald's opens at 5 a.m. Idk about you all but I love their biscuits! And their gravy?... It is delicious!! Puts good ol' Bobby Evans restaurant sausage gravy at the bottom of the bucket! Speaking of buckets, that's how Bob Evans gets their gravy now. It hasn't been ' Homemade ' for years so ya might as well squirt some chunky Elmer's Glue on your biscuits nowadays. That's how tasty it is ( or isn't ? )!“
“This morning I used the mobile app to order breakfast while I was also on a work call. Upon receiving the order I wasn’t paying attention and as I took the 2nd bite of my sandwich I realized it was missing the egg and cheese. After my call I pulled through the drive thru to have it replaced, mind you the store is very busy with around a dozen cars in the drive thru. At the 2nd window, we check my phone and I actually ordered a different version of the sandwich as the one I wanted has the words egg and cheese in the title. They informed me that I had what I paid for and I had to move on or I would have been causing major delays.
I elected to go in the store, because I felt like they should have given me an option to get to the solution where I get the sandwich i wanted and pay the difference. The general manager was unwilling to do that because the store is in a high shrink area and she would be taking quite a bit of loss if she did that for everyone. I told her that I understood, but that I was not trying to get something for free, or I wouldn’t have come inside and offered to pay the difference.
She had a new sandwich made and reminded me that she won’t be doing this again if I’m making mistakes when ordering.
I’ve been a manager for 25 years and much of that in and around front facing customer service. What she did was a tough decision to make and I didn’t make it any easier in letting her know that essentially I wasn’t satisfied. Not only was it tough, but she had an audience of employees waiting to see what she would do?
Obviously, I think she did the right thing because I’m completely satisfied, but also she used her training and experience to tell me what the rules were explain to me that I had gotten what I paid for (twice) and then after that, made a judgment call from the gut that I wasn’t trying to burn her. Both as a customer and a fellow manager, customer experience advocate I appreciate her and her staff for being firm but not rude, and I recommend this store to anyone who is interested!“
“I must say that this McDonald's has done a 360 degree. I love you Mr. M.The last time I was here was in, was last year sometime. I was so disappointed because of the customer service, the young people lack of respect for the customers, as well as their job, serving us. And the quality of the food was average or poor and a lot of thing was always out after a certain time, like the milkshake machine, " And there was ALWAYS A WAIT." So I just stopped coming. However, I needed some coffee and in a rush so I stopped in May. The atmos was totally inviting, I pleased and socked. The place was clean, people were talking and eating breakfast and it made me want to get more than coffee. As I stepped up a friendly face said may I help you? I instantly said oh my goodness, are you the manager he said yes. I was pleased because he stepped in while the other cashier was getting another order, and he did it quickly. I said, "there is a big difference in this place," and with that being said," he told the people behind me, I'll be right with you. There was movement in the front line as they worked with a togetherness, over all I was impressed. I was in a rush so hoping my food wouldnt take long? To my surprise my food was out, hot, and ready within 5 minutes sausage biscuit meal what's a iced coffee 2 extra squirts of caramel. The manager Marcas, (I'm sorry if I spelled it wrong.) Is phenomenal, friendly, upbeat, always working with a smile on his face and he is about the customer. I will say and state, "he is the best thing that has happened to this McDonald's." Now, I've come back several times since May, to evaluate the customer service, the quality of the food, and drive-thru wait time, so I could make sure that what I was experiencing was a turn around.Its THE TRUTH! The customer service rating 5? ????, the quality of the food 5 ?????, the smiles, the young people, and the greetings of the cashiers/staff 5 ????? , and most of all the production in getting the line down as well as getting people out of the lobby with their food hot and right is 5????? I have been to this McDonald's in the last couple of months more than I have gone in the last year. Thank you Mr. M your awesom. You have made a difference in food service by providing excellent customer service, and quality food in a mannerly time with a phenomenal spirit to serve our community.Im a McCustomer? 5??????“
