“I typically stay in the area when I make the drive between Philly and Chicago. Couldn’t ask for a better place to grab a beer and have some great tavern food. Staff are some of the friendliest I’ve encountered and the vibes make you feel like you’ve stepped into a friend’s home. This will forever be my go-to stop during my travels.“

“Bar maid's boy friend was at the end of the bar. Needless to say he got 80% of her attention. It was difficult to spend money or get a drink. Food tasted great. Although my French dip sandwich came with enough dip for about two bites. I would guess it was just the bar maid doing a poor job. She spent a lot of time in the kitchen. The Thursday day bar tender needs a different job. I will return hoping for better service.“

“Just so you know if you order mozzarella sticks they are not made with mozzarella and does in fact have a unique taste. Not the greatest…and the pizza tastes like gas station pizza. Grab some from the Sunoco around the corner for cheaper ?‍♀️ nice people though “

“My husband and I made reservations for Valentine’s Day for a 5 course meal. We made our selections for each course ahead of time. As you may see in other reviews, this was the first time the restaurant offered this type of service for Valentine’s Day. Our amazing server, Jenn, gave us a heads up that the kitchen was behind.

The food did come out pretty late, but I am still leaving a 5-star review for 4 reasons:

1. The quality of service from our server, Jenn. She was kind, calm, and personable. She kept the wine coming and did a great job of setting our expectations and taking care of us wherever she could.

2. The restaurant’s response to the wait time for food. All of the wine we drank that evening (it was a lot) was fully comped. Then, the restaurant went above and beyond by sending everyone a $50 gift certificate for future use. I don’t think many restaurants would do that.

3. The quality of food when it finally arrived. Yes it took some time to get to our table, but the food was phenomenal! Still dreaming of that filet Oscar. Worth every penny!

4. The wine. Michael Angelo’s has always had amazing wine at an incredible price, and we definitely enjoyed our fair share this particular evening! I can think of a lot worse situations to be in than waiting for a meal with some great wine in the company of my best friend.

Yes there were some hiccups, but we will absolutely be back if they decide to try this type of service again.“

“The Blue Door Bakery is an absolute gem and hands down my favorite place to eat! This morning started with Nicolette’s perfectly crafted oat milk latte—smooth, creamy, and just the right balance of espresso. Paired with an almond croissant filled with rich, luscious almond paste, it was already the perfect way to start the day. But I couldn’t resist also adding the smoked salmon and eggs, and wow—it was to die for! Every bite was packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and the kind of quality you can taste.“

“Ordered number 1 lunch with chicken and rice. Chips were hot, and salsa was spicy and flavorful. Queso dip spicy, hot and delicious. The only thing was rice was barely warm, so I didn't eat much of it. They seemed low on staffing but still served in a timely manner. Will definitely be back.“

“Wow! A hidden gem! First, very clean, friendly wait staff, interesting decor. Second, breakfast served all day. Third, the menu items were simple, nothing fancy here, but really good food! Prices? I’d say slightly lower than average. I paid $10 for Cornbeef hash, and that came with 3 eggs, and potatoes plus two slices of toast! Plus the CBH was not greasy! Try this place!“

“This was our first time going and it was honestly so good! It’s super refreshing to find a restaurant that does breakfast but in a healthy way! I love that most dishes have avocado as an ingredient because of the health benefits. I personally cannot eat avocado due to an intolerance but my food was still amazing even when I took it out! I got the Eggs Benedict - BLT.. I don’t even have words to describe it. The greens were crunchy, the hollandaise sauce was citrusy, the eggs were perfectly jammy while my bread was beautifully toasted and the bacon and tomato just added to it. I got it with the side of potatoes and those were perfect. I will absolutely be coming back. Also, I’m not big on coffee at all, but their coffee is so amazing that I actually had to get a bag for home.“

“Stopped in after a baseball game. The people were friendly, and the pizza was awesome. You could tell a difference between the quality of this good old fashioned pizza place and chain pizza establishments. The crust was a mix between pan and hand tossed in texture. The sauce was a perfect combination of sweet and savory. The cheese was just the right amount of ooey gooey goodness. Definitely would recommend. If we ever are in the area again, we’ll definitely return.“

“It was the perfect place to take my mom as she is in a wheelchair. The staff was so accommodating. Staff was spot on for professional servers, which has been hard to find since before Covid. Presentation of food was excellent, and taste was exceptional. This is definitely our new family favorite. We are all adults and no children-we will be back again and again. “The food was so good! I love the environment and the chairs were super comfortable. My only issue would be they are not very attentive with the community table, but despite that I don’t mind a little wait for some hot fresh breakfast and with Christmas right around the corner I’d expect a little wait. The potatoes were very tasty along with the egg sandwich. I for sure plan on going back to try more. The menu has so many unique things on it including the ricotta pancakes. “Another Road-Trip pizza review!! Ordered an 8-cut pepperoni and sausage. Took 40 mins on a Friday night (pretty normal). The pizza sauce was savory, the dough was tasty and the crust was crunchy, sausage was normal, the pepperoni was their downfall in the rating... I think the whole pizza had 16 prices (not joking with 2 each slice). But the atmosphere was spectacular!! I don't think you can take it all in with one visit!! We will be back, but they really need to work on that pepperoni issue 😁“

Her personality was so welcoming and warm and genuine. “When they actually get your order right it’s good food. The problem is that they screw up the orders too often. It doesn’t matter if you order online or over the phone, what you ask for and pay for is not what’s in the box. They either drown the wings because you ask for extra sauce (to the point where the box can’t hold the sauce & it’s spilling out) or the wings are bone dry. The last order I placed was for a white pizza with chicken and bacon, I got a white pizza with banana peppers, tomatoes, black olives and bacon… NOT the same!
It’s frustrating because the food IS good :(“
