“This is the Skyline that was revamed a few years back...is is one of the oldest Skyline in the area...and now that it has more seating, better lighting , and a retro feel....it is a must stop when you are in Cincinnati.

Have you done a 5 way? Well try an INVERTED 5 way; the cheese is under the chili and gives it a different texture. And make sure you get a spoon so you can twirl that spaghetti 🍝 . And I finished with 6 cheese coneys, the staple of Skyline. Staff was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed.“

The only problem that has me disturbed is the fact that the young lady that gave us awesome over the top service was not the one that was gonna get the tip I left because she was in training. That just doesn't seem fair to me seeing how that is where she makes the bulk of her money being an amazing waitress.“

“If I could give them even more stars, I would!! The owner, Mike himself, took care of us while we were there and he was amazing! So kind and kept us smiling during our entire meal! He was so sweet with my 18 month old daughter, even giving her some suckers and a gift certificate for next time. Not only was the service top notch, but the food was to die for! We got specialty burgers and my daughter got chicken tenders, all of which were made fresh and perfectly cooked/seasoned! I can’t recommend this place enough. Already can’t wait to visit again!!“

“It had been many years since we had been to the Root Beer Stand so it was high time to come back. It had grown a fair amount since our last visit which was great to see. The place was really busy but they really are streamlined well and there was not a long wait time. There is a bit of indoor seating but a vast majority of the seating is at picnic tables outside around the area. Everything looked great all around the grounds although you must remember you are outside and there are a fair amount of bees around so beware of that. I had a footlong chili dog and fries which were excellent especially the chili dog. Also had to have a root beer float which was legendary as usual as their locally sourced root beer really is delicious. This is definitely an awesome place to go on a summer day for sure and it gets my highest recommendation.“

The menu wasn’t particularly large, but it had some really interesting choices. I’m not a big hot dog person, but there was a broad selection of very unique hot dogs. I ended up choosing the Elote grilled cheese, and we also got some duck fries for the table to share. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the grilled cheese sandwich, but it was outstanding! “I get my salad every week at Lucky Dog, Murphy my dog is always welcome, they are good people. everything in my salad is always fresh and reasonably priced. The salads have a-lot of filling protein and flavor. If you eat downtown regularly you know a fresh salad with enough filling protein is hard to find for $7. Lucky Dog makes my everyday work life bearable. Also they sell the biggest fountain drink for the lowest price. and cheesecake. 🏆😉They have my loyalty“

“It's skyline, so the food was great as usual. The main thing I wasn't a fan of, was that they removed the salt shakers from the table. Once I realized that, I had to wait to get my server's attention to bring me several packets. It might be nitpicking but that was the only issue I had.“

“We never really had any issues here, but the last 2 out of 3 visits they have failed to put everything in the bag. One time we didn't get the cheese for the 4 way, I called to let them know, they said they would make a note of it, but then when I went up to get the cheese, they had no record of me calling. Tonight we didn't get the onion for either of the 4 ways. They charge extra for a 4 way and to not get what you paid for is quite disappointing. They need to do a better job on carryout, making sure they are putting everything in the bags. Customers depend on them to make sure they get what they paid for.“

“It’s a fast food place in a strip mall. Not sure how to rate atmosphere, it was clean and decent. I had chili dogs and tried the chili bowl. I like chili and chili hotdogs with cheese so I gave it 5 stars. Maybe not the best I’ve ever had the chili is a little sweet for what I usually have but it was still good. They had a drive through and takeout, optional sit down service was a surprise. The great attitude of the staff was nice and the complete opposite of restaurant staff here in California. It’s the kind of food you’d get at a county fair but I sort of expected that when I went in. Overall I thought it was great and inexpensive.“

You can enjoy the Coney dog with/or without the chili done 3-4-5 way. To find out the difference you’ll have to visit. They also had summer special ice cream floats and funnel fries as well as small treats at the front. With tons of food under $30 for two in today’s restaurant eateries that’s a great value. “Skyline Chili is my favorite restaurant. My wife and I spent a few days sightseeing in Cincinnati. She has never been to Cincy. She has never had Skyline Chili. I told here that you haven't been Cincy until you have their chili. I ordered us Cheese Coney dogs & a 5-way chili. She loved it. Our server was the best. She treated my wife like royalty. She gave her a newbie bowl of their chili to try before we ordered and she put a bib on her.“

“Favorite chili place in Cincinnati, always has been! Employees at the drive thru were friendly and quick with the order.

Parking: If you go through the drive thru, it doesn't really connect to the parking lot. So, if you get your food at the drive thru and want to eat in your car like a heathen (how we do it), you have to go back on the road, make an immediate right back into the lot.Enjoy.“

“I'm giving this a 4 because I feel a little conflicted about this chili. I only visited this restaurant because my son insisted on trying it. I grew up in the south and for us chili was a hot hearty bowl of beans and beef not chili sauce with a little beef and spaghetti. So of course I can't say I enjoyed it very much but my son did so I split the baby and gave it a 4 star. The service in the drive thru was faster than most fast foods and the lady at the window was helpful and smiling. What more could you ask for. So while this chili was "not my cup of tea" the food was hot and my family enjoyed it.
