“Placed a pick up order yesterday evening for after a softball game and the game went longer than expected. Got there almost an hour later than I had told them and they were kind enough to make my order fresh again. No side eye looks, no grumpy faces, every one of the workers were just smiling and working. “I stumbled into this place with some work colleagues when we were working in the area. When we walked in the door, I had no idea what kind of food they served. The menu wasn’t particularly large, but it had some really interesting choices. I’m not a big hot dog person, but there was a broad selection of very unique hot dogs. I ended up choosing the Elote grilled cheese, and we also got some duck fries for the table to share. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the grilled cheese sandwich, but it was outstanding! The fries and dipping sauce were also really good!“

“I visited this skyline location many times and I’ve always found it to be one of the best in the Cincinnati area, friendly workers very consistent food with a clean and lively environment. I’ve retired down south now but every time we come back to visit the kids and grandkids this is our first stop. Can’t wait to taste that skyline chili.

For me, it’s always a four-way with beans and usually a cheese Coney hold the onions! This time I substituted a small Greek salad for the cheese coney and it was tasty.“

The only issue was when we came in we was pointed to a seat and got a little confused to what seat to sit at and I didn't know if we paid at the counter or the server came and picked up the bill. We only figured it out because the server never came back to pick up our card.“

“Serving sizes were small. The waitress was kind and honest enough to show us actual serving plates for the chili with spaghetti. So, I got a burrito with chili, spaghetti and sour cream and a cheese coney. The coney in particular was rather small.

At least the prices matched the food size. If you're a big eater, eat multiple things off the menu.“

“This is a Cincinnati area staple. We just wanted something to share for a late lunch. We split a small five way (spaghetti, chili, cheese, onions and beans) and a cheese coney each. $14 total. That cheese they use is sharp and freshly feather grated. It makes all the difference. A robot brings the food to your table and the server disperses it. My only complaint-if you call it that is in a booth, if you sit across from each other, you will kick each other. You cannot get in or out without bumping knees and shins. There are salads on the menu for those that may not acquire the taste for the chili. The Greek salad looked amazing.“

“I order from this skyline a lot and not only are my orders always right and yummy, the staff is also super sweet! When I opened my food this evening someone had included a bit of candy with my cheese and it almost made me cry, it was so sweet and kind and made my whole night so much better! “The waitress who served us was very friendly and kind. My Greek salad and my 3-way chili were delicious. But what I liked most was the attention of Ms. Anita, who brought me hot water to mix with my sweet tea because I wanted something warm due to the cold weather. Thank you, Ms. Anita.“

“Finneytown Skyline is our favorite! The staff and manager are fantastic. The food is carefully prepared to our specifications and delivered quickly. Fast, efficient, delicious, fresh, friendly and we can scan to pay at the table. I highly recommend this location.“

“The employees there were genuinely kind, positive and energetic. It was a nice little pick-me-up that I didn't even know I needed. I usually order delivery but that was such a wonderful experience picking up my food, I'll be doing that each time now. Thank you so much.“

“The chili is really good, it’s not super salty or over powering with a mild sweetness that is unexpected. The bun is very VERY light in density which is nice so the dog and chili can be the star of the show, also helps with not feeling grotesquely full from an overload on bread. Definitely got cheese and onions which also complimented without overpowering (especially for the onions, those can quickly take over the flavor makeup in any food but not here). The hotdog had its own distinct flavor and a nice snap when bitten. Thoroughly enjoyed and now I need to keep oyster crackers at home.

So here was how I enjoyed mine as the oyster crackers is a new concept to me…I took the hot sauce, opened the crackers and then shook the hot sauce in the bag with the crackers, topped the dog took one bite to taste…it was delicious, there is now no trace of evidence left, although if people were watching I could only assume they would describe it as a massacre…it was very good!“

“Came back into town for a visit and stopped off at this location for my dose of Skyline. Place was very clean. Despite it being fairly busy (there was a large group of elderly men joining for a lunch meetup which was sweet), my service was fast, efficient, and great. Food is exactly what I’d expected and hoped for. Definitely will be visiting this location in future visits to the area.“

“We never really had any issues here, but the last 2 out of 3 visits they have failed to put everything in the bag. One time we didn't get the cheese for the 4 way, I called to let them know, they said they would make a note of it, but then when I went up to get the cheese, they had no record of me calling. Tonight we didn't get the onion for either of the 4 ways. They charge extra for a 4 way and to not get what you paid for is quite disappointing. They need to do a better job on carryout, making sure they are putting everything in the bags. Customers depend on them to make sure they get what they paid for.“

I have to say though, I don’t like the modern styling of this Skyline. Everything is grey, and it feels very corporate and cold.

“It’s a fast food place in a strip mall. Not sure how to rate atmosphere, it was clean and decent. I had chili dogs and tried the chili bowl. I like chili and chili hotdogs with cheese so I gave it 5 stars. Maybe not the best I’ve ever had the chili is a little sweet for what I usually have but it was still good. They had a drive through and takeout, optional sit down service was a surprise. The great attitude of the staff was nice and the complete opposite of restaurant staff here in California. It’s the kind of food you’d get at a county fair but I sort of expected that when I went in. Overall I thought it was great and inexpensive.“

“This iconic Cincinnati chili restaurant Skyline did not disappoint! We visited the local Oakley store, obviously a very busy location as the staff were working quickly and politely.

This very casual, low key almost fast food restaurant has good diner eats for nostalgic Americana with the full origin story of creator and Greek native - American dreamer, Adeeb Mislch

You can enjoy the Coney dog with/or without the chili done 3-4-5 way. To find out the difference you’ll have to visit. They also had summer special ice cream floats and funnel fries as well as small treats at the front. With tons of food under $30 for two in today’s restaurant eateries that’s a great value. Thanks for my first but not last visit to Skyline!“

“Great place, great food, wait staff recognizes my group and has no problem remembering our choices. I only didn't give this a perfect score as sometimes it gets very busy and they seem to have trouble with managing the extended area during those periods. Still kinda miss the old building but this was a definitely welcome and needed upgrade!“

I'm so glad we stopped. however, we were practically the only ones in the restaurant (although a busy drive thru) and there were 7 dirty empty tables. mess everywhere including a bun left on the floor for some time.3 or 4 staffers were only moderately busy, Leah did a good job for us. there are lots of locations to get a good taste of this Cincinnati fav.“
