Restaurantji's guide to Springdale's top Mexican dining experiences.
“The tamales here are good and big. In that order. There is plenty of meat in them. The tacos are delicious and the ask for the hot hot sauce. It will leave you gasping. Great place. AND don't forget a packet of freshly made corn tortillas. They are super soft.“
“This is the only place i go ,if I want to eat mexican food, or groceries shopping. They have all I need.. great customer service, ( restaurant staff)friendly staff,(restaurant staff)clean environment, good tasty food, you can always see how they cook your order..The only issues I have a little is their groceries office people customer service. They don't know how to handle the issue when I was a having a problem with my missing items..but thanks to the store manager for fixing it for me with out attitude. Other than that I will keep going back because I love the place. .“
“It's a bar so it was loud. The quesadillas and taco salad were delicious with good portions. Service was a little bit slow but it was a busy Sunday night. Packed with a lot of people drinking beer and having a good time. The salsa is awful. I'm not sure what they did to it. It tasted like tomato paste with something added to it. The salsa Verde was equally nasty. It tasted like it had a mayonnaise base. Never had anything like it. Our dinner was good but lacking because we didn't have any salsa to put on it. We just couldn't stomach it!“
“The order was originally placed through doordash and with another location closer to home. But a message board post recommendation had me go out of my route and come here. A decision I'm glad I made. The employees were quick, efficient, professional, and incredibly courteous about an order that took more than the average time to put together because of there being five items at once. Absolutely worth the additional drive time!“
“Good margaritas! Great atmosphere. And I absolutely love the shirts they have. The food is good. Not authentic at all but a new age Mexican food. Macaroni in burritos and tacos definitely lots of vegetarian options For those that follow that diet.“
“I love my tacos so much. Today we ordered #8 “Taco Birria Meal” and #18 “Chicken taco meal”. The chicken tacos were amazing everything is fresh the beans can just be eaten by them selves. The Birria meal was amazing. The meat was tender and the shells were perfectly cooked and crunchy. Def at 10/10. The rice was perfectly done. It was just so much great flavor. They have amazing greetings at the front door. Great service from the entry to the table. Best in Cincinnati, I will definitely be back tomorrow.Spanish:I love my tacos very much. “Simply incredible tacos, amongst the best I’ve ever had in my life and easily the best in Cincinnati. The al pastor is to die for. Seriously, just go to this place - it may look unassuming given it’s a food truck parked in a BP, but the food is top notch. The guys who work there are also super friendly, great service. Only downside is it’s cash only but a small inconvenience for such incredible food.“
“Lived in Cincinnati for 4 years and was able to enjoy this place often. It's an absolute must every time we go back. Mexican rice (pictured) has spectacular flavor. The elote when in season is also a favorite. Highly recommend this place if you are in Cincinnati. One of my favorites anywhere.“
“This taco truck is the sole reason I survived last winter in the city. The chorizo burrito brings me more joy than I can put into words. The staff are very kind, the wait is always minimal, and the food is consistently on point. I would give them 6 stars if I could.“
“It was late in the evening and we were headed back to our hotel. We were hungry and did not want fast food. We also did not want to drive into Cincinnati to find a place. I asked my partner if she would like Mexican cuisine and she said yes. I went into my phone and found Mi Cozumel.I loved the decor immediately. Everything was big. Even the seating gave you so much room. They provided complimentary chips and salsa. When I took my first bite it took me back to the time when I was in the Navy in the early 90s and we would go hang out in Mexico on the weekends.Their service was amazing. The food came out immediately. I had the Birria tacos. Let me say this: many people try to make Birria tacos in restaurants and they fail often. Not Mi Cozumel. It was just right.Their drinks are strong and we are definitely returning whenever we are in the area.I will say that it is loud so having a serious conversation might not be possible. Personally, I don't have an issue with this since we frequent many bars when we travel but I can see others having an issue.Outside of that, Mi Cozumel gets a full 5 stars.“
