It is our family’s favorite take out and we just had them cater a large (30) family dinner. The food was delivered and it was perfect. Huge quantities and delicious. “I came here a little over an hour before closing then was seated by the hostess, our waitress took our drink order then was inattentive for 35 minutes after me even waving her down multiple times but wouldn’t come to the table, I brought it up to the owner and kitchen staff out in the sushi making area, and they were right at my service, from there me, the owner and few employees even made some genuine conversation, and brought out the food very quickly, (which is always fantastic) when I was all finished the owner told us it was all free, I really hope the owner and staff knows that was the best customer service I have ever received, so a huge thank you to the owner and staff!“

I asked to get extra sauce to take home and the waitress said it would cost $2.00 more. But she wasn’t sure. We had to ask again about the sauce after we paid the bill. “If only Detroit had a BBQ restaurant as good as this one. I've tried a handful of items but always go back to the pulled pork platter, the pork being properly smoked low and slow with a nice bark on it. The sauces are also very tasty, not overpowering the meat (and thankfully, not out of a bottle like at the chain restaurants). The sides are also quite good; the macaroni and cheese is a nice pile of artery-clogging goodness! Can't go wrong here. We always stop in when visiting the Toledo Zoo.“

“We thought we would try this place out and we were very pleased that we did. We are from CT, and we have some pretty good steak spots there but the prime rib here was absolutely amazing. A tiny bit salty on the outer crust but other than that cooked perfectly and the taste was phenomenal. Mashed potatoes were great all around and carrot cake for dessert was fabulous as well. I give the place a good 4.9. I will definitely go back!

“My husband and I are regulars at Tougen! We absolutely love the food, especially the sushi! The owner John is always all about his customers! This is a hidden gem that more people need to know about!!“

“I had your mead at ORF today and I need to find some to order. The cranberry-habanero was absolutely fantastic. The cardamom was also great, but that cranberry habanero is on a whole other level. Wonderful work.

Tried the two aforementioned and the french toast meads.

These are honey heavy meads, which are atypical in my experience for Ohio. The french toast one tasted a lot like pnacake syrup, not really my jam.

The cardamom was great - mild honey with a bold cardamom. I would love to try that with a spicy meal as I think it would pair wonderfully.

The cranberry habanero was slightly less sweet, and had not only a slight spiciness but also the gardeny-pepper quality of fresh chilis. This is a great mead and I'd gladly order from you if I could find a link to online.“

“We ate at the Don Juan Mexican Bar & Grill - Maumee, 551 W Dussel Dr, Maumee, OH 43537 and had the best service I have had in a long time. Gina, our waitress, was very nice and offered to let me use her nail glue because my sandal broke. She helped me pick an amazing drink and made sure our party was happy with everything we got. It is nice to see people actually care about the people they are serving and not just the pay check they are getting. We will definitely be going back and hopefully Gina will be there with here bright smile!“
