“Today I had a jalapeño pineapple margarita. It was one of the best drinks I've ever had! We also had corn Fritters with a spicy/sweet dip. Sooooo delicious! We each had burritos also. Our server was wonderful as always! This time on our bill we noticed a merchant fee. We asked our server and she said its something the owners came up with for business costs. She took the fee off our bill. We love Agave & Rye. We even drive from Springfield to eat there. The cost of drinks and food is pricier than other places we could go. We pay it because it's very different and good, but please don't charge us more.“
“We found Home Sweet Home online while traveling in the area and decided to give it a try. i had the Frisco burger and it was cooked to perfection and tasted great. It was served with lots of great tasting crinkle fries. My wife had the pan seared cod with green beans. The cod tasted as close to fresh caught as she's had so far inland. The green beans were seasoned with ham and onions. Everything tasted fantastic!Ted was our waiter. He and the rest of the staff were really good and accommodating to us and the locals. The place was still really busy at 7 pm when we got there. Great sign of a great restaurant, staff and especially the chef! I definitely recommend it, and we'll be back!Parking: They're in a strip mall, there's car parking and more parking in the large lot to pull in any size trailer like we did. The large lot was for a old Kmart that was over a ways converted to a beautiful storage place, which looked closed and no cars at that time. I'd say pull in what you want.“

The steaks were the star, especially the Ribeye, cooked to tender perfection with just the right amount of smokiness ??The fried catfish was just what we expected with the cornmeal nice and crispy. “I grew up in Park Layne and live just down the street. This place is very special to me. We were waited on by Christina on Sunday March 17, 2024 for lunch. She was awesome. One of the best waitresses I have ever had. I have just one complaint which I don't like to say...the onion rings, which is one of my favs on the menu, was over cooked almost burnt. This particular day I kept seeing a commercial for the cod fish and it looked so delicious I had to get there that evening. I love that they cook the food to order. “My famiy from out of town we used to go there when they came to town. Love their food. I always liked there waffles and pancakes with the fruit on it(I like blueberry) the best with a side of bacon. I never liked wihip cream so I was happy that the kitchen staff too it off for me. “When this was Rancher's it was my favorite roast beef place. Since Rax took over the quality and menu a similar but a little bit has changed and it's not quite as good. Fries often come out soggy. It would be nice if they'd open the inside back up. This place is hands down way better than any Arby's. I recommend trying it if you like roast beef.“

I arrived at the end of the lunch rush on a Thursday, maybe 1:15 or so.i was greeted virtually immediately and after i asked for booth or table for one, was asked if it was ok to wait a couple minutes until a booth could be bussed. No problem at all; it was nice to be asked, rather than told.i ordered a bacon cheeseburger with chips & non-alcohol beer (O'Douls). I also indicated i would be ordering something to go before I finshed... admittedly lazy, why not let someone else clean their kitchen for supper? Haha...The burger arrived faster than expected, and was great! On a nice brioche bun, and was exactly how I wanted. For me, a high point was the sharp, thick cut onion. That took me back to a favorite diner growing up, when Burgers always came with a "slice".My take-out was the 'Grilled Birdie' salad and was likewise superb. The salad itself was fresh snd crispy, and the grilled chicken was done to perfection in a lemon pepper base. My server was also kind enough to ask if i wanted the chicken boxed separately. Oh my, yes. - good-bye wilted salad! Hello, fresh, tasty, crispy supper with a tangy, excellent house cajun ranch dressing!In short, despite bit of a drive {~20 miles}, I will definitely be back! “We were traveling across Interstate 70 and Google search found TJ Chumps. Not knowing the area, we saw pretty solid reviews. This is a family/sports bar kind of place. On the day we visited, Ohio State football was on all their big screens. The restaurant was pretty full but we were seated quickly. Abby was our server and made some great food suggestions. She checked on us frequently and did a great job. We both got burgers that were cooked perfectly. Abby explained their sauces used on the burgers were made in house and we both really like them. The house made chips with house made dill dip were so yummy!! I would stop again for the chips and dip! The manager stopped by our table and checked that everything was good. She mentioned how busy they were with the OSU game but honestly, we got fantastic service and the wait for food was very brief. Would definitely stop here again if I'm in the area.“
“Been coming here since I was a little kid since they've been around longer than me. The place is very well known locally and has changed ownership several times over the years. Thankfully, the current owner has done an excellent job of bringing the place back to its former glory along with being open to trying new things to keep things fresh.They've always been best known to us for their signature foot long coneys and draft root beer. Anytime we're back home visiting family we have to stop if it's within season.The staff are excellent and it's rare to find any legit drive in places anymore but if you're in the area or close enough during the summer season, we highly recommend checking it out!“

The meat was thick and big chunks. I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavor, but the wife loved it. I had to add some of their smoky sauce as a sweetener, which made it good for me, but this southern buy likes his stew meat in finer chops.For those that follow me, you know about my Brunswick stew challenge in Brunswick GA.Cornbread was served with the meal which was just sweet enough to how I like it, and tender.I ordered the pulled pork with salad and green beans. This allowed me to try all 6 sauces they offered on the table. The sauces are fantastic! I narrowed down my 2 favorites to be the smokey and Carolina sauces.Wife ordered a choose your own of meatloaf and turkey with sides of sweet potato casserole and colard greens. She was very happy with her meal and almost finished it.Prices are fair, and portions are big enough that I brought some back for a midnight snack.If you're in the area, give these guys a try!“

“This is a date night or family "nice dinner" staple for us. We love supporting local and we are rarely disappointed at Basil's. The menu frequently rotates at least 2-3 new things if not more, while somehow managing to keep my favorites: the salmon, bbq ribs, and JF burger are all recommended! Market toss salad is also a winner for lunch or dinner. Add the chicken! This experience was slightly different. We sat down in a Thursday night at 5:30 with a party of 3. Very attentive service soon diminished as the restaurant loaded up to capacity (almost) shortly after 6:00. Lots of younger (under 40) diners with tables of 6 and 8 common. We are in our younger 40s so it was nice to see groups frequenting Basil's instead of a franchise chain. This was not our servers fault, to be clear. She was simply overwhelmed with tables and larger ones at that. It was to the point where glasses were so dry and for 15+ minutes that my 8 year old son was eating ice because he was so thirsty. I was on my way to the bar for self service refills when our server finally noticed and RAN for the water pitcher. We will give it another try... but ownership without Todd seems different.“

Good thing I didn't check tripadvisor or I wouldn't have went to this place for lunch. Most of the previous reviews on here don't do it justice. Well the cheesesteak sandwich was the best I've had. The sauce on it was amazing. The kids really enjoyed the chicken fingers and fries. To be fair, it is a bit pricey. For a couple $ less this would be awesome. But at this price point I would go back when I'm in the area for a visit for sure. Wished they would put one in Indy. Cheesesteaks here are about average at most of our sandwich shops. “The chef is tremendous! The food is outstanding! It is clean. The dining room and outside patio are fun places to eat, more so than the ole' Clubhouse. (Some) of the staff and management are really nice people. The management team are consumate professionals. A really quaint place to dine alone if you want, as I choose to do. MY favorite is the takeout option!! Try their pizza? The Club sandwich is by far the (BEST) ever. Blue ribbon fare. The Lobster Ravioli is priceless. Every meal prepared in the kitchen is spot on. Order, then go home and eat. I do not drink, so the Clubhouse means nothing to me. A vibrant choice by many. Very clean and well maintained. Just lost it's luster in my eyes. I am more of a private person. Not my first choice for options. Members are so nice. It is a tight knit group. TV'S are superior in the Clubhouse. No egregious or capricious behavior by anyone. Disappear or blend in. Your choice. The Clubhouse? Same great food, same outstanding chef . Other avenues to take to dine. The Clubhouse is great for everyone else it seems. Very popular! Views outside under the awning are relaxing . Just my style other than the dining room or take out. I am proud to be a member. The Club, or (TCC) as it is referred to, has so much to offer. Golfing on a manicured course? Well maintained. Although I am done with golfing, it is beautiful to look at the nice green grass. Tennis is my game of choice. The pool in season is one of a kind. Hats off to the management. If you are looking to belong to a rare and classic establishment, look no more. See old friends and enjoy a meal. Or make new friends. Troy Country Club is well worth every dollar paid for services rendered.“
