“I hadn't been to George's since my parents were alive but always had fond memories of the place. Decided to support them after seeing posts about awful people stiffing them on food.I have to admit, I thought it was a bit unnerving to ask me to pay for my food ahead of time over the phone especially since some may be using cash, but I understood after they got ripped off.I ordered a meal that came with biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and bacon and added 2 pancakes. I did not like the biscuits and gravy because the gravy had a weird herby taste that I didn't enjoy. I can't rate the biscuits alone since they were all covered up with the gravy.The scrambled eggs would have been good but they were cooked in some oily substance that didn't taste good, butter or nothing at all would be better.The bacon was crispy and delicious! The pancakes were big and fluffy and tasted great. I would get pancakes and bacon from them again for sure.My partner had the Greek plate and the only complaint was that for the high price it should include more gyro meat and tzatziki. Everything was however cooked well and tasty.All in all I'm glad we stopped at George's and hope to dine there again!“

“I walked in very randomly around the lunch hour. I was dressed down and definitely felt out of place here. Karen and the staff made sure to make me feel welcome, and like anyone belonged here. “Great food. We were in town to visit the Air Force museum. I researched restaurants before we left home. Not only are the food and prices fantastic, it's only 5 minutes from the museum. When we visit again, we plan on having breakfast again, then driving over for lunch, instead of eating at the museum.“

My filet mignon with scallion hollandaise was perfectly medium rare, the hollandaise not at all oily tasting. The cocktails were excellent. Attentive, and enthusiastic about the menu and made perfect recommendations including leading me to choose the filet as it was the seasonal offerings vs the strip steak and steering me to an excellent wine for my meal.One of the top dining experiences I've had in Dayton, while walking in 1 hour to close. Nicole and Jade are always attentive to when drinks need a refill as well as when any food may have any mishaps and they always do more than enough to correct any issues. They even remember when the wife and I forget to specify the veggie versions of a dish and write it in anyway. In short a great place with an amazing veggie gravy and even better staff.Vegetarian options: Most of the Vegetarian friendly options are labeled with a leaf while others can be ordered vegetarian friendly, such as biscuits and gravy being able to be ordered using veggie gravy.“

By the time I got to thr brownies, the sugar clumped together on the brownies big time on the bottom. The moisture made the powder sugar stick/clump a lot. But also make sure to bring cash if you'd rather not have to work around and use PayPal or the other cashless options that might incur a fee on your end.I came here in a uhaul van moving stuff in transition. I believe the height of the van was under 7' clearance. I thought the parking in the lot were for smaller vehicles only. I saw a huge (as in taller) Sprinter van in the back. So, the smaller cars can park under the canopy, out of the weather, but larger vehicles with a higher clearance can park in the back just fine. “We celebrated a family member's 60th birthday here and it was truly wonderful! This is a perfect place for a casual private get together. The upstairs was super spacious with lots of tables to spread out on, there was a separate room for food, and even private bathrooms. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive without being overbearing. Seriously, they were incredible and remembered so many of our names. We had numerous (demanding) kids at the party and the staff couldn't have been more nice with them even as they ran around everywhere. Our server didn't check back often or offer refills, we had to ask another server for refills. When we arrived they told us a 30 min wait, we didn't have to wait that long at all! Even though the service wasn't up to par, we will definitely come back.“
