“I stopped the day of the $8 burrito soon after the 3pm start time of the special. You had to use the online ordering on the app. Well, if the company demands app use, the app needs to work! After 45 minutes, they decided they could give me the discount on site after a half dozen other people came in complaining. Poor customer service!“
“When I say I want tacos, this is what I mean. I'll be honest, I don't even remember what I ordered. I took their recommendation and it did not disappoint. This is the best Mexican food I've ever had and I'll be so sad if they get ran out of town like the last few places that were there. The owner is so nice and friendly and you can tell there's passion in every meal with the way he describes what you can expect with the things you order. So good. Soooooool good!“
“To start, the guacamole and salsa were delish. The chicken quesadilla and the beef quesabirra were authentically Mexican and beyond good. I lived in Texas for many years and have visited Mexico several times. This restaurant understands the importance of using fresh ingredients. The service was consistent with the food (Luis was our waiter). A special note. The legs on the table are way too bulky, which makes moving your legs around a bit difficult. I hope at some point they change the tables or modify them by installing new bases. The ladies' room was clean; they should move the trash can by the door. We use the paper towel to open the latch. A nit, but important. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Don't forget to ask for the lunch menu during lunch hours. There is a significant difference in prices. My guest and I highly recommend Taqueria LA Loma. Bon appetite.“
“One of our favorite local restaurants. Francisco is the king of customer service, and the entire staff is excellent. They really make sure you feel welcome every time you come through the door. Oh, and more importantly, the food is outrageously good.Kid-friendliness: The kids' menu is great. Tasty and affordable. Our boys always enjoy it.“
“Food was as usual unbelievably good I always bring a new friend with me to try it out and they share the same feedback everytime by far kne of the best Mexian food spots around 10/10 definitely recommend the Birria Tacos with their special spicy sauce.“
“Stumbled upon this little gem unexpectedly while out and about. Good service and food was great. We had fajitas, which were delicious and the other person in my party had a big burrito. The salsa and chips were really good and really fresh. The pricing is on point for a decent Mexican restaurant. Will definitely visit again.“
“Edit:Decided to stop by - food quality is still the same as my last review which is good. Food is freshly made, queso has a little kick to it and is excellent, quesadillas are delicious and full of steak. They even have their own homemade chips now. I got this to go and they really hooked me up with some extra chips and salsa too. This place is great. Some of the best and most authentic Mexican food I've ever had.I don't think their chips are homemade, but everything else definitely is. I had their quesadilla and it was loaded with steak and cheese, and was very flavorful, well seasoned. Cheese dip is pretty good too. Definitely need to come back to try some of the other things on their menu.“
“Great food and service! We've gone here multiple times over the last year and the food has been consistently delicious. The person working the counter has always remembered us and is very kind. Authentic food, great salsas and a wide variety of options. A great local addition.Parking: Using an old converted bank lot. Limited parking spaces and the lot is a little small. Havent had an issue but at peak times I imagine parking would be a challenge.Kid-friendliness: Its a walk up food stand so generally friendly. Also an outside covered seating area is availableWheelchair accessibility: Mostly accessible and there is a handicap parking spot.“
“Fiesta Acapulco is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Canton. I've enjoyed great food in restaurant and from delivery. The fajita bowl is my go-to order but everything I have tried has been phenomenal. Their servers are always friendly and attentive. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table and food is delivered quickly too. Great place to meet a friend, have some margaritas and catch up!“
“Omgoodness_sogood This is a hidden gem ? ✨️ their presentation of their food is perfecto Thank you for helping Canton Ohio be awesome. The drinks are super awesome! ? Well done ? The womens Restroom is very nice and kept up clean. Well done everyone!“
“Absolutely delicious! On par or better than any Mexican restaurant in the area. Honestly, I meant to take a picture or two of the food itself, but it disappeared from the table so fast I didn’t get a chance! All to-go food, and a drive up window to pickup as well. If you’re in the NC area, I would highly advise you check it out!“
“After recently moving to the area we could not find a Mexican restaurant that was above average. Our last try was Casa Del Lago and it did not disappoint! Clean great atmosphere, food was outstanding and the margaritas were very good!! We'll be “
“We decided on a to go order. So I went online looked at photos and the menu and wow! So much to choose from!!!Also if you are worried they aren’t going to give you as much food compared to dining in… don’t worry they load you up!!I got their seafood burrito and it was HUGE! Not to mention you get beans and rice with it! Definitely 2 meals worth!!! The hubby got a chicken burrito with shrimp and it definitely gone and in his belly haha… huge bag of chips and salsa.Online it said 20 minutes until it was ready but I think the website automatically picks 20 minutes so I would say give them 30 for a pick up.While waiting for my food they were so nice and everyone I saw walk out said their food was great and everyone left with smiles ❤️If you are in the area I recommend stopping here… they have a nice bar and the restaurant is very clean.Oh and the hubby got their street corn and he said if he could he would eat one everyday ?Vegetarian options: Nice selection of options. I’m not vegetarian but i definitely noticed the dishes and they sounded so yummy!Parking: Easy access with plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Smiling faces and two sides to the restaurant. This way you don’t have to have kids near the bar area.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp that goes to the doors. Not automatic doors so have someone to help otherwise wonderful access.“
“Don't go anywhere else! The food is amazing. Perfection. Full of flavor and quality. Victor, our server, is wonderful and friendly. I know each item on this menu is made with the same excellence that was with the quesadillas we ordered for our family. No where else has better food!Ten stars!“
“Nice little Mexican restaurant. Ramp & stairs at entrance for older & younger people. First floor & second floor dining for older & younger people. Many options are on the menu, some poctures, everything I've gotten here has been tasty. Table & Booth seating. Very clean. Mogador is a nice little town to visit, and this place offers plenty of parking as well as convenience businesses nearby. Accessible from 76, Mogadore is just 2 miles from the exit ramp.“
“Best Mexican restaurant in the Akron area.I eat here at least once a week.My drink comes to the table when they come to greet me.They know what I want to eat.Nice clean friendly restaurant. If you are in the Akron/Canton area and want Mexican food this is the place.“
“Friendly and very attentive staff. The food was excellent. The black beans were great, highly recommend. Tacos were authentic. Would like yo return for their margarita night or their flight of margaritas night. Beautiful painted portraits on the walls. Atmosphere was cozy with a Mexican flair. Loved the wooden tables.“
“Very good place authentic Mexican cuisine.. Great atmosphere very calm and pleasant... We didn't waited much even tho it was kind of busy; Would totally recomend and also visiting again for sure. Try them Quesadillas I had them of carnitas" meat!“
“We love this place. Always have. The food is amazing. It's a smaller stop for a restaurant which makes it easy for staff to maintain. Their cleanliness is above board. Their prompt service is always great. Their margaritas? Are to die for. It's not a lot of money. But it's alot of food. Easily have a date night here and spend less than fifty.“
“Very good food & big portions.Vegetarian options: My husband got the vegetable fajitas. There was a whole section of vegetariarian choices.Parking: There is parking on 2 sides of the building. We could have parked closer but didn't realize exactly where the front door was.“
“The food opened up a whole new world for me in both the food and style of food. I enjoyed it very much. The server was very magnanimous when helping an old man figure out everything on the menu. I just wish I could remember the type of juice i ordered“
“We have passed this location for ages and finally decided to go in. The service was great! Everything came out quickly, fresh and piping hot. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back.Parking: Parking lot shared with Dollar Tree, plus parking on sides of the building.Kid-friendliness: Offer highchair and kids menus“
“Great time with amazing food atmosphere's great service is amazing. Sweet tea is always on point. Anything on the menu was good? You can't go wrong price is nice too. Will you go there for lunch? Or dinner, you always have a good time.“
“Great mexican restaurant in Akron! We constantly stop in for drinks and bites to eat and are pleasantly surprised every time! The queso is absolutely delicious!! My go to margarita is the raspberry marg on the rocks! The strawberry is good too but sometimes too sweet for my taste! The workers are tentative and quick! It is family owned business and we have enjoyed getting to know every member! there is lots of seatings for large groups and they accommodate them well!“
“By far this is the best location as there are 2 more within a 5 mile radius , the seafood is always top their as well as the service I eat here often so much that they know me by name and it's simply because the food is so delicious ? 5 outta 5 all day ?“
“Thee greatest restaurant in North Canton. I've tried them all and the place on the corner is by far the best and the staple of North Canton. If it was up to me I would rename this town after this restaurant. God bless mi amigos 2 Cornithians 9:8.“
“I'd been daydreaming about the chili con queso since 2007 - the best I've ever had and for some reason a hard thing to find where I live. My husband and I visited Akron again and of course had to get some food from El Rincon. I didn't see the chili con queso, but I did get some regular queso and it was exactly as delicious as I remembered. SO good.“
“The food is good. The service is good. But beware of screaming children. Second time at this restaurant and same situation - screaming children and no relief in sight. We even sat in the patio area hoping that would make it less brutal . . . it did not. Hopefully, if you visit, you will not be so unlucky.“
“Iv been going here forever and all the staff are so nice!!!!I highly recommend this plus it's one of the only sit down restaurants in green.the food is very good they handle it with care and if something is wrong with your order they always will re make it.“
“We ate here between kids soccer Torniment games. The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed thier delicious guacamole. We will definitely eat here again when in the area.Kid-friendliness: The young lady waiting on us was very nice and great service.“
“it’s hard to put into words how amazing this place is all the way around. From the minute we walked in the door until we left we were treated so well. The food was so good. Please try the homemade Sangria, it was unbelievable. We went there for our anniversary. We had such a good time. We will be back.Thank you everyone for making our 22nd anniversary so nice“
“Refreshing the date. Review still holds. Wonderful peopple.Unusual menu. From Monterey, not Tex-Mex. Well prepared and served food. Excellent staff. Taco Tuesdays! We eat here between 12 and 40 times a year (including lunches) and have for the last 3 years. We have had some nights that were a bit slow or not spot on but I can't cook perfectly every night, eitherTonight was Green Pork Carnitas, shrimp and bacon street tacos, and pork enchiladas enmolada. All were excellent. (The mole is the owner"s Mom's recipe.) Also got black beans which were ordinary because I didn't want refritos. Probably won't do that again Got corn tortillas for my Carnitas. It was a really nice dinner. If you are looking for dressed up Taco Bell you won't find it here. (Real) Mexican food is fairly delicately flavored, not blazingly hot. This is Mexican food, not Mexican-American food except for the American tacos. Those they have! On Tuesdays for a buck. I like to get them, too!“
“I only give 3 for atmosphere because the taco truck just posted up, and we took it home to eat.Food was delicioso ? por supuesto.Took about 10 minutes because it was made to order and very fresh. Guacamole was soooo fresh and flavorful. I got the birria tacos and the birria sauce was a little too salty, but still yummy. We tried the chicken and steak Too, and they were very flavorful and savory as well. Me Encanta.Vegetarian options: Guac and cheese dip“
“Great staff! Great location, right on the water! Love the food! My favorites are the Mango Guacamole and I add corn, huge portion! I also love the Ceviche, Queso Fundido, and the ground beef tacos add pico de gallo. Margaritas and Paloma are excellent too! I have met friends here a lot! Keep up the great work!“
“Definitely in my personal top 5 list for quickly served yet still great quality Mexican serving within & around the Belpar/Hills-&-Dales/N. Canton area. Always delicious, attentively serviced and relaxing with an easy-going type of feel. Never left here disappointed as far meals are considered. A bit cramped feeling in size and the bar + cocktails leave much to be desired unfortunately. Quite light handed when it comes to the actual alcohol content when mixing drinks or pouring up shots. To compound matters further here, the bar also isn't cheap or even fairly priced (compared to most other bars in the area that is)...mixed drinks are weak and if you complain about this you will eventually get a real pour in your cocktail but may be unpleasantly surprised come bill and checkout time..because it's pricey for sure. Especially when compared to other very casual places like itself. And while the beer is on point price wise, the selection is sadly barren of anything higher potentcy or craft (IPA etc). Nothing new there bc for some reason unknown to me almost every NE Ohio Mexican dining joint is and always has been devoid in the craft beer dept. Oh well mystery for another day i suppose ?. I digress; But back to the review at hand... Las Penas. Solidly consistently great food and service. And frankly as long as one chooses to stay with simple draft beers and/or whatever frozen margarita flavors are recommended that day by the server, everything else is fantastic. Las Penas is a super affordable, super tasty choice. Also i must say that this place is great for sharing and family style eating, since every entree seems to have been inspired and served up like it is literally made to be shared! (big portions with serving/plating styles that suggest & facilitate sharing across the whole table. 12 inch Burritos made for 2 and so on..) A staple for me and my whole family as far as local fast casual Mexican goes! Just a chill little spot to eat a quick lunch on a busy day. But also and even better (IMO) if it's a spontaneous or unplanned easy going dinner with whoever just happened to text you wanting to know about meeting up while you just sat down to have a beer type of situation.“
“I drove here with my wife because she wanted Arepas and they're one of the few places that serve them. I ordered a Torta (Al pastor) for myself and they were both very good! I should mention that I've had 100,037,372,947,372 tortas/arepas/tacos from all over (US, Mexico, and Colombia), and what we had was definitely up to par.... The best part? $5.99 jumbo margaritas on Saturdays! That's basically an automatic 5 stars on its own! Great service too! We will definitely be back. Well worth the drive.“
“Inevitably people are going to compare this with Chipotle in terms of food quality and service. This isn't always a fair comparison since most aspects are subjective, IE: my wife and kid find the chicken at chipotle to be too spicy sometimes but Hothead doesn't seem to have spice on their chicken. Both places have tasty chicken though. That being said my wife and I generally get Hot Heads if we want more customization options since they have so many more options and flavors to choose from.“
