“Refreshing the date. Review still holds. Wonderful peopple.Unusual menu. From Monterey, not Tex-Mex. Well prepared and served food. Excellent staff. Taco Tuesdays! We eat here between 12 and 40 times a year (including lunches) and have for the last 3 years. We have had some nights that were a bit slow or not spot on but I can't cook perfectly every night, eitherTonight was Green Pork Carnitas, shrimp and bacon street tacos, and pork enchiladas enmolada. All were excellent. (The mole is the owner"s Mom's recipe.) Also got black beans which were ordinary because I didn't want refritos. Probably won't do that again Got corn tortillas for my Carnitas. It was a really nice dinner. If you are looking for dressed up Taco Bell you won't find it here. (Real) Mexican food is fairly delicately flavored, not blazingly hot. This is Mexican food, not Mexican-American food except for the American tacos. Those they have! On Tuesdays for a buck. I like to get them, too!“
“I recommend the (Grilled) Chicken Powerball, as a shareable senior meal or as a health conscious youngster meal. The food is separated in the bowl, you have proteins, vegetables and carbs. It's under $8 folks! Well worth a trip to Taco Bell on Tallmadge Circle.“
“I'm so happy to have authentic Mexican food so close to me. Everything we eat here is delicious. We love that there are always new things on the menu to try, and watching the Facebook page for updates on the menu and events like salsa dancing and tequila tastings! Everyone is always so nice!Dietary restrictions: We dine regularly with people who have dietary restrictions and it's very easy to find delicious food for everyone here, including celiac, lactose intolerant, vegetarian.“
“My favorite place to eat. I lived in Texas for many years. Good Mexican food is hard to find. Pico is spot on, and that’s hard to do. Omar and his wife care about the food and it shows. You know when the owner is the Chef that good things will come.“
“Embark on a culinary adventure with the Wholly Frijoles Burrito—a tantalizing symphony of flavors encased in a warm tortilla embrace. With each bite, your senses are greeted by succulent grilled chicken, perfectly seasoned black beans, creamy guacamole, and zesty salsa, creating a harmonious explosion of taste. Generously topped with melted cheese and fresh cilantro, every mouthful is a revelation of culinary excellence. Whether you're a burrito connoisseur or a newcomer to the delight, the Wholly Frijoles Burrito promises an unforgettable journey through the realm of gastronomic delight. Treat yourself to the epitome of burrito perfection today.“
“So this is our new go to for Mexican food!!! The seasoning on the grilled chicken is perfect! Staff is beyond nice and helpful. The hot sauce they bring to the table with the warm chips and freshly made salsa is super hot but soooooo good!! But I think the real gem is the little grocery store attached to the restaurant. They have everything directly from Mexico so there are a lot of treats you can't get here. And the prices are great. Now let's move on to the bakery.... They have donuts and croissants that are huge and super fresh. The taste is amazing.(As much as you are tempted, DO NOT eat these flakey treats in your car!!) I'm a bit confused on the pricing. One day they were $1.50 and the next $2. But they could have been $5 each and well worth it!!! But wait, there's more!! There's an ice cream shop next door attached to a little party store to buy candy in bulk and pinatas to stuff it all in. This place is hands down one of the best little gems in all of Akron. 10/10 would recommend over any Mexican food and grocery in the whole city!!!“
“I noticed a post on Facebook of an employee making the seafood burrito and it looked delicious. My wife and I decided to come in for lent and we split the seafood burrito because it was huge. The burrito was so large we had about half of it left to take What? home for leftovers. The seafood, rice beans, etc. with the additional queso and chipotle sauce on top made this the best burrito we’ve ever had. The burrito was a perfect combination of a lot of seafood and the right amount of beans, rice, etc.. The salsa was also one of the best we have ever had. Our server was a gentleman that was always smiling and always checking to make sure everything was OK while getting us anything we needed . I highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to coming back . We will be bringing family and friends with us to enjoy the same awesome experience we did. The “ BEST” Mexican restaurant in the area!“
“Edit:Decided to stop by - food quality is still the same as my last review which is good. Food is freshly made, queso has a little kick to it and is excellent, quesadillas are delicious and full of steak. They even have their own homemade chips now. I got this to go and they really hooked me up with some extra chips and salsa too. This place is great. Some of the best and most authentic Mexican food I've ever had.I don't think their chips are homemade, but everything else definitely is. I had their quesadilla and it was loaded with steak and cheese, and was very flavorful, well seasoned. Cheese dip is pretty good too. Definitely need to come back to try some of the other things on their menu.“
“Best Mexican food I've found in Ohio!! Delicious, fresh and wonderful! I moved home from Southern Calif a couple of years ago and was seriously missing excellent Mexican food. Well, then Mamacitas opened- now I can fulfill my cravings!“
“Stumbled upon this little gem unexpectedly while out and about. Good service and food was great. We had fajitas, which were delicious and the other person in my party had a big burrito. The salsa and chips were really good and really fresh. The pricing is on point for a decent Mexican restaurant. Will definitely visit again.“
“Great food and service! We've gone here multiple times over the last year and the food has been consistently delicious. The person working the counter has always remembered us and is very kind. Authentic food, great salsas and a wide variety of options. A great local addition.Parking: Using an old converted bank lot. Limited parking spaces and the lot is a little small. Havent had an issue but at peak times I imagine parking would be a challenge.Kid-friendliness: Its a walk up food stand so generally friendly. Also an outside covered seating area is availableWheelchair accessibility: Mostly accessible and there is a handicap parking spot.“
“Food was as usual unbelievably good I always bring a new friend with me to try it out and they share the same feedback everytime by far kne of the best Mexian food spots around 10/10 definitely recommend the Birria Tacos with their special spicy sauce.“
“After recently moving to the area we could not find a Mexican restaurant that was above average. Our last try was Casa Del Lago and it did not disappoint! Clean great atmosphere, food was outstanding and the margaritas were very good!! We'll be “
“Quite restaurant with a great and friendly staff. Food was excellent. Went in on a Thursday afternoon and got lucky with the lunch special for that day. Fajitas for 7.99 and margaritas for 7.20. Had a killer lunch and drink for what a footling at Subsway costs without a drink. I asked the waiter what he was pouring into mugs. Horchata is what he called it. Gave me a sample and it was the most delicious non-alcoholic thing I think I ever drank. This place is highly recommended ??“
“Nice little Mexican restaurant. Ramp & stairs at entrance for older & younger people. First floor & second floor dining for older & younger people. Many options are on the menu, some poctures, everything I've gotten here has been tasty. Table & Booth seating. Very clean. Mogador is a nice little town to visit, and this place offers plenty of parking as well as convenience businesses nearby. Accessible from 76, Mogadore is just 2 miles from the exit ramp.“
“Best Mexican restaurant in cayahuga ,stow or in AkronHe made hot salsa for us was excellentOwner /manager make it way we wantsHe told us to try habanero paperWas good spicy but if take heat try itExcellent test ,quality, freshWorth it to visit will stop by again“
“We decided on a to go order. So I went online looked at photos and the menu and wow! So much to choose from!!!Also if you are worried they aren’t going to give you as much food compared to dining in… don’t worry they load you up!!I got their seafood burrito and it was HUGE! Not to mention you get beans and rice with it! Definitely 2 meals worth!!! The hubby got a chicken burrito with shrimp and it definitely gone and in his belly haha… huge bag of chips and salsa.Online it said 20 minutes until it was ready but I think the website automatically picks 20 minutes so I would say give them 30 for a pick up.While waiting for my food they were so nice and everyone I saw walk out said their food was great and everyone left with smiles ❤️If you are in the area I recommend stopping here… they have a nice bar and the restaurant is very clean.Oh and the hubby got their street corn and he said if he could he would eat one everyday ?Vegetarian options: Nice selection of options. I’m not vegetarian but i definitely noticed the dishes and they sounded so yummy!Parking: Easy access with plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Smiling faces and two sides to the restaurant. This way you don’t have to have kids near the bar area.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp that goes to the doors. Not automatic doors so have someone to help otherwise wonderful access.“
“Very good place authentic Mexican cuisine.. Great atmosphere very calm and pleasant... We didn't waited much even tho it was kind of busy; Would totally recomend and also visiting again for sure. Try them Quesadillas I had them of carnitas" meat!“
“This place is fantastic!! I grew up in Los Angeles and have been in NE Ohio for 12 years and I can finally end my search for a solid breakfast burrito! Please go now and support this place. I tried the Sweet James and another one with Chorizo!“
“I took my daughter t h ere for her birthday lunch. I have never eaten there before...so glad we went the food is so good, actually has seasonings and the salsa is the bomb! Our waitress was so sweet, i have already told others about it. Can't wait to go back!“
“This little Mexican restaurant is a gem! The food is absolutely amazing! It's close to the Akron zoo, and you should not miss out on this if you love Mexican yummies. Prices are totally reasonable, and they have skinny margaritas! Definetly recommend, hands down.“
“Excellent lunch and dinner spot. Very good burritos for a very respectable price. Good selection of drinks. Great especially during the summer when you can go outside. Would especially recommend things with potatoes, they're done well here.Vegetarian options: Very good place to go if you are vegetarian, there are good options pretty much any way you go.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free selection is alright but not that good. The lack of the signature baked tortilla is missed.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible since the entrance is a set of steps but last I heard a ramp was going to be installed.“
“11/7/23:One week later and my daughter and I had the craving since our first visit. Both ordered the same dish. Both enjoyed it just as much as our first time ? Azteca watch out...we might have a new Mexican restaurant winner in our eyes ?10/31/23:Our first time here and wow! Shredded chicken taco salad =yummmers! My daughter and I were seated, our order taken, and served quickly. Everyone was so friendly and the restaurant was clean. I will be back to try some more.“
“We visited the national park and we were craving some Mexican food. After checking around we found Don Patron's. We ate during the week, so it wasn't too crazy busy. There were still a few open tables. Our waiter was very good. He was attentive and gave some solid recommendations for dinner choices. The chips and salsa came.qith the meal, and were very good. Best of all the food was fantastic! There was plenty of parking, and it was easy in and out. If we are in the area again we will be stopping by Don's!“
“Overall, it was a good experience! We were a party of 3 and seated right away. Chips and salsa arrived at our table quickly. The server was on point. We ordered guacamole to start. It was OK. The food was average Mexican cuisine. Dining room is large. There is a separate bar and small party room.“
“Best Mexican around, a little pricey but worth it. The ground beef is actually seasoned & has a lot of flavor, unlike every other Mexican restaurant. They have great guacamole but it is like $12, so it's VERY expensive. That being said, it tastes great, but it's way cheaper to make the same thing at home. They barely put any cheese on their tacos. I always order extra cheese on them & I still can barely find any cheese on them. Thankfully I always order cheese dip, so I end up having to use that on my tacos. Kind of annoying.Update: I took a star away because their take-out/online ordering service needs some serious work. I ordered two tacos for myself & only received one. I mostly wanted to just eat chips with salsa, guacamole & cheese dip (I even ordered a large cheese & large guac). They only gave us a TINY bag of chips, smaller than any other Mexican restaurant would give. Why couldn't they give us a normal size bag? Needless to say, I ate one taco & a handful of chips & was still left hungry. :(“
“We normally have a great experience when we go out to coyotes (best mexican food in the area) and they have surprisingly good milkshakes (at least the banana one is pretty awesome). That being said, when we came in on march 14th we had a horrible server. She seemed disinterested in us and rarely checked in. The banana shake she made us tasted bad (like there was no banana flavoring and only milk made it up). Ive had it before so I know it can be done better she mustve just not put the right portions in. She refused to come back to give us our bill and we were in a hurry (waited around 20 minutes for her and she never came) so i went up to a random guy and had him print off our check. I love this place but this experience will make me think about going back to dos coronas in ravenna next time.“
“Come to this place hungry and ready to eat! Their salsa is super fresh with fresh onions and chives. You have to order the Mexican pizza, it's covered in fresh veggies and the shell is nice and crispy! If you love a good place to get Mexican food, come here!“

“There are a lot of Mexican restaurants around, and a lot of them have almost identical menus. While Mi Casa falls into this category, the quality is far superior to the rest. The service is always great. The food is always fast, fresh, and delicious. I love the flautas, the burrito a la Roquetta, and camarone empenasadas. (But everything is great!)Vegetarian options: There's a small but great vegetarian section“
“Always great food, service and atmosphere when we come here. I have brought a few people here and they have said the same thing. Great quality food at great prices. If you’re ever in or near Streetsboro it’s worth stopping in to check them out. They are quick to serve you and one of the nicest restaurants!“
“I've never had a bad experience dinning in. However, in the last few months we've ordered carry out and they've forgotten items consistently. It's a pain having to call and then go back up there. The staff is always very understanding though and we've never had issues fixing the issue. I'd suggest making sure everything you ordered is in the bag before you leave. Besides that I definitely recommend Azteca. Food is great and the employees are awesome.“
“Hadn't ordered ahead, just a "walk in". The hot cheese dip was GREAT and there was plenty. The FRESH chips were perfect and again a good amount. While waiting had a beer "that was ice cold" and was asked if I was OK. Place was clean and had a good crowd of people having fun. One more thing, the prices were very good and would recommend going there. Very nice.“
“My wife and I like to go around to Mexican restaurants. We love Mexican food, Tito‘s Mexican Grill in Coventry IS by far the BEST food. The bonito burrito is one of my favorites and the Mexican pizza. My wife’s favorite is the deluxe quesadilla and chili con queso. We won’t be going elsewhere for Mexican food from now on!!!“
“Inevitably people are going to compare this with Chipotle in terms of food quality and service. This isn't always a fair comparison since most aspects are subjective, IE: my wife and kid find the chicken at chipotle to be too spicy sometimes but Hothead doesn't seem to have spice on their chicken. Both places have tasty chicken though. That being said my wife and I generally get Hot Heads if we want more customization options since they have so many more options and flavors to choose from.“
“THIS IS MY FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT ????Vegetarian options: They have others protein options or whatever you like.Parking: Plenty of space to park. On the side of the building.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: One floor no stepsDefinitely wheelchair accessible“
“Good quality Mexican food, the chimmichanga and fajita plates are good. The takeout always comes with chips and salsa, and they never forget anything that is a 'side' of the dish, even if it means an extra container.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, with lots of food options for them and tvs to watch.“
“it’s hard to put into words how amazing this place is all the way around. From the minute we walked in the door until we left we were treated so well. The food was so good. Please try the homemade Sangria, it was unbelievable. We went there for our anniversary. We had such a good time. We will be back.Thank you everyone for making our 22nd anniversary so nice“
“Great customer service, we placed an on-line order , payed on-line and it said our card was declined, tried again and same thing .only to find out it had charged our account 2x. My husband went to pick up our food and explained what had happened , the manager apologized and comped our food ! It only takes one act of kindness and GREAT customer service to keep a customer coming back !! Kudos to the manager there tonight, we appreciated it .“
“Great staff! Great location, right on the water! Love the food! My favorites are the Mango Guacamole and I add corn, huge portion! I also love the Ceviche, Queso Fundido, and the ground beef tacos add pico de gallo. Margaritas and Paloma are excellent too! I have met friends here a lot! Keep up the great work!“
“Had chicken tacos and enchiladas for lunch while waiting on my car to be serviced at one of the nearby dealers. Food was very good. Liked the salsa and chips. Good service. Nice interior. AC was working just find. Will schedule my oil change around lunch time so I can eat here again.“
“My girlfriends and I went to El Patron Tequileria to get some food before a show across the street. Being ladies, we were later than we would have liked and were in a rush and ALSO didn't have a reservation. The atmosphere in that place is just lovely, but since we didn't have reservations and it was a busy Friday we were seated in the basement (which we didn't even know they had). I gave the atmosphere a 4 because of us being in the basement and having poor lighting. The rest of the restaurant is a 5 star.We loved our waitress Bree! she did a fabulous job at getting us in and out fast for the show. She also went up and beyond when she heard it was my friend's birthday and made her feel extra special with a sparkler and a shot of tequila. This girl was fast, efficient and did a damn good job. GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE! <3“
“I drove here with my wife because she wanted Arepas and they're one of the few places that serve them. I ordered a Torta (Al pastor) for myself and they were both very good! I should mention that I've had 100,037,372,947,372 tortas/arepas/tacos from all over (US, Mexico, and Colombia), and what we had was definitely up to par.... The best part? $5.99 jumbo margaritas on Saturdays! That's basically an automatic 5 stars on its own! Great service too! We will definitely be back. Well worth the drive.“
“Friendly and very attentive staff. The food was excellent. The black beans were great, highly recommend. Tacos were authentic. Would like yo return for their margarita night or their flight of margaritas night. Beautiful painted portraits on the walls. Atmosphere was cozy with a Mexican flair. Loved the wooden tables.“
