“I read a review about the cheesesteak sandwich that was so great so decided to try it. I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. There was basically no meat at all on this sandwich! It was all big chunks of tomatoes, lettuce and gobs of mayo. I was unable to eat it. If it hadn't been so late in the evening I would have taken it back to them. Pizzas and other sandwiches are fantastic! What happened here?“

“Old Scratch is a casual pizza joint with a small menu and friendly, fast service. Their pizzas are thin crust with robust, flavorful sauces and fresh mozzarella. We ordered the prosciutto arugula pizza and the Mr. Scratch pizza with Italian sausage and basil. The arugula was lightly dressed in olive oil and Parmesan cheese which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, this is solid pizza place that we would visit for lunch on a weekday again.“

“I came here for my first time a couple weeks ago. A friend brought me here for lunch. I absolutely loved it. It kind of reminds me of a slice of Yellow Springs and an indoor street bazar.The place has an intensely good vibe to it. Everybody was incredibly friendly - shop owners and consumers alike. There's a wide variety of food vendors as well as retailers. I was particularly impressed with the wide variety of herbs and spices available at a shop Rosebub and the pieces of them. I plan on going there the next time I need more spices of any kind.And I have to give a special shout out to Mrs Ernstein and her delicious lemon pound cake. I might be diabetic, but it was totally worth it- don't worry, I split it with a friend. ?“

“The pulled pork sandwhich with hot BBQ sauce is the way to go! It's so good. The cornbread is a must for a side. We also tried the nachos with mixed BBQ sauce. They were very good! The workers are always nice and the place is always clean! Thanks, we will be back!“

Even though Dayton is the sixth most populous city and the state's fourth-largest metropolitan area, the vegan selections in Dayton are pretty slim, so having a coffee house that has great treats and drinks that a vegan can imbibe is very much appreciated.“
